[NYP] Dairy Queen has had to oddly clarify that the store’s food does not contain "human meat" after one of its South Carolina restaurants was swarmed by federal agents last week, sparking gruesome rumors online.
"At Dairy Queen, we are very proud of our 100 percent beef hamburgers," the fast-food chain tweeted Friday. "We serve a high-quality hamburger with no additives or fillers."
The statement was in response to a news story published by the Index-Journal, of Greenwood, SC, reporting that someone complained about "human meat being inside a burger" at the local Dairy Queen.
Manager Saif Momin said that around 9:30 am on Wednesday, federal agents from the FBI and Homeland Security, as well as local South Carolina officials, appeared at the store in Greenwood. He then told the news outlet a corporate inspector told him someone complained there was "human meat" in a burger.

Planned Parenthood sells body parts and there is no action by the GIVERnment and start a rumor about human meat in a burger and 3 departments show up at Dairy Queen. I hope they at least got a Blizzard to go.

Some years back a VP at McDonald's had to explain that no, they didn't use ground earthworms in their burgers as earthworms cost much more per pound than ground beef.

Love their ice cream, but earthworm meat would explain the taste of that one cheeseburger I ate once.

To what base uses we may return, Horatio! Why may
not imagination trace the noble dust of Alexander,

No, faith, not a jot; but to follow him thither with

thus: Alexander died, Alexander was buried,
Alexander returneth into dust; the dust is earth; earth containeth worms; and why of those worms, whereto he
was converted, might they not stuff a burger?

[BREITBART] A judge formally ended the criminal case against Jeffrey Want Some Candy, Little Girl? Epstein ...A high class pimp financier who was alleged to maintain a stable of underage whoressex slaves who were paid big bucks to entertain the rich and/or famous. He is a registered sex offender and made att least 17 out-of-court settlements with former members of his stable, with some cases still ongoing. 2011 court docs reveal that 21 email addresses and phone numbers for Bill Clinton and an aide were found in Epstein's electronic black book, and that Clinton frequently flew with Epstein on his private plane between 2002 to 2005. But really, they were probably just discussing finance or politix or something. While getting massaged. Then things got serious, Jeff was tossed in the slammer in New York and then he killed himself. Really. That's what happened... on Thursday, but not without a final tribute to the women who spoke out against the financier.
U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman took the procedural step of adding his initials to an order dismissing the indictment that charged the 66-year-old Epstein with conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors and sex trafficking of minors in the early 2000s in Florida and New York.
In requesting the action 10 days earlier, U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman, who is not related to the judge, noted that the law required the dismissal after Epstein killed himself in jail Aug. 10 while he was awaiting trial.
Though anticipated, Berman’s action included a reference to a Tuesday court hearing where 16 women spoke about their claims against Epstein of sexual abuse, some committed when they were under the age of consent. Statements by several other women were read by their lawyers.
The judge said he was incorporating by reference the hearing’s transcript while he "underscores the significance of the Crime Victims’ Rights Act."
Among other things, the victims’ law ensures crime victims have the right to be heard at public court proceedings regarding the accused.
At the unusual hearing, women detailed how Epstein abused them. The women said he used his financial power and connections to famous people to make them vulnerable, some as teenagers, to sexual attacks that sometimes continued for years.
[NYP] Racer and television host Jessi Combs ‐ known as the "fastest woman on four wheels" ‐ died in a fiery crash while attempting to beat her own land speed record, officials said Wednesday.
Combs, 39, was barreling through a dry lake bed in Oregon’s Alvord Desert on Tuesday afternoon inside a 56-foot-long, 52,000-horsepower "jet car" when the "horrific accident" happened, her team said.
Police officials told The Post on Wednesday that investigators were attempting to recover laptop computers that were on board the high-powered vehicle ‐ dubbed the North American Eagle Supersonic Speed Challenger ‐ so they could determine what went wrong.
"They’re waiting for the team to recover the [engine and systems] information stored on the inboard computers," said Lt. Brian Needham of the Harney County Sheriff’s Office.
He said "there was a fire involved" but was unable to say whether Combs’ car hit something to cause the blaze.
Combs, a South Dakota native, spoke about the risks of land speed racing on social media, most recently in a post on Aug. 24.
Sung by Mick Jagger, this could become a great song. Dedicated to Jessi Combs.

Three days out and they are predicting (and hoping) the storm will hit a specific building. Gawd, I hate the news media and everyone associated with it. Journalists, bah!
[IsraelTimes] Humanity should brace itself for serious blowback over the next few centuries from oceans and Earth’s frozen zones, according to the draft of a major UN report obtained by AFP.
Our longtime habit of loading the atmosphere with planet-warming CO2 has spawned a host of consequences, starting with irreversible sea-level rise, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) "Special Report."
Even under optimistic scenarios in which warming is capped at two degrees Celsius, Earth will likely see more than a 100-fold increase in the damages caused by superstorms and 280 million people displaced by rising seas, the report found.
The planet’s ice- or snow-covered regions, known as the cryosphere, have also been hammered by man-made warming, with ice sheets shedding more than 400 billion tonnes in mass each year, and mountain glaciers ‐ the fresh water source for a billion people in the Andes, Himalayas and elsewhere ‐ threatened with local extinction.
A third to 99 percent of the world’s permafrost could also melt by 2100 if emissions continue unabated, potentially releasing a carbon bomb of greenhouse gases, according to the findings.

Weren't snow and glaciers supposed to be a thing of the past now?
And yet we have them still and some that were in retreat are now growing.
If the history of accuracy of UN reports are any guide, we should be well into an ice age by 2100 with sea levels dropping due to the advancing glacier sheets.
[DAWN] Former Bangladeshi students are turning to social media to detail allegations of "rampant" sex abuse at the hands of teachers and older pupils in madressahs, breaking their silence on a taboo topic in the conservative country.
Child abuse in madressahs has long gone unreported in Bangladesh, a Moslem-majority nation where hardline groups draw their support from the tens of thousands of schools across the nation of 169 million people.
But in the wake of a brutal murder of a teenage girl who was burnt to death in April after accusing her headteacher of sexual assault, such incidents have been subject to national scrutiny and debate for the first time.
In July alone, at least five madressah teachers were arrested on rape charges against boys and girls under their care.
Several senior students were also held by police over the rape and beheading of an 11-year-old orphan, while a Dhaka holy man and seminary teacher was charged with sexually assaulting a dozen boys aged between 12 and 19.
The accusations reveal how students from poorer and rural backgrounds, whose parents send them to madressahs as they are more affordable than secular schools, are disproportionately affected by the abuse.
Rights activists said the assaults ‐ which range from violent rapes to forcible kissing ‐ are so pervasive that the cases reported in the media are just the tip of the iceberg.
"For years these crimes eluded spotlight due to sensitivity of the subject," Abdus Shahid, the head of child rights' group Bangladesh Shishu Odhikar Forum, told AFP.

It was the deepening ties with India that led to a women's lib movement of sorts in Bangladesh. The rampant corruption and islamic thuggery in Bangladesh is due to the reign of ex-PM Khalida Zia. This fake eyebrowed bitch. She was responsible for a human trafficking network to indonesia and thailand for young girls, the drug trade and incursion of militant muslims into India and Myanmar, plus a hundred other criminal enterprises within the sad excuse of a country. That's why she's in jail now. But she left a legacy of corruption and mullah rule that has taken root since then.
The new PM, Sheikh Hasina is closer to her Indian counterpart, more secular in her policies, but being a woman leader in an islamic hellhole is tough. There are a hundred or so NGOs backed by the Indian govt trying to minimize islamic assholery by combating/reforming illegal community laws and rituals like FGM, child marriage, rape and abduction marriage, forced conversions etc. UN human rights people have also posed for pictures helped in some initiatives. Some christian charities which were earlier outlawed and hounded out by mullahs have been given credible protection in an extralegal way recently. It has been seen that regular christian school and imbibed values are the most rapidly civilizing agents in any society's young.
[BREITBART] Britain’s Labour Party leader, Jeremy Corbyn, says the House of Commons will move quickly to try to block a no-deal Brexit despite Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s move to suspend Parliament.
Corbyn told Sky News that Parliament should “legislate rapidly” to prevent a “no-deal” Brexit and that he would try to “politically stop” Johnson from pushing through a no-deal Brexit and shutting down Parliament. Corbyn says “we believe we can do it.”
The move by Johnson to suspend Parliament could make it more likely that Britain falls out of the European Union on Oct. 31 without a deal, wreaking havoc for people and businesses.
The decision was slammed by some as being dictatorial, but Brexit supporters cheered it as a decisive move to finally bring the country out of the EU three years after the 2016 referendum.
[Reuters] The Chinese central government rejected Lam's proposal to withdraw the extradition bill and ordered her not to yield to any of the protesters' other demands at that time, three individuals with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.
The extradition bill is one of the key issues that has helped drive the protests, which have drawn millions of people into the streets of Hong Kong. Lam has said the bill is "dead," but has refused to say explicitly that it has been "withdrawn."
Beijing told Lam not to withdraw the bill, or to launch an inquiry into the tumult, including allegations of excessive police force, according to the senior government official.
Another of the three individuals, who has close ties with senior officials in Hong Kong and also declined to be identified, confirmed the Hong Kong government had submitted the report.
"They said no" to all five demands, said the source. "The situation is far more complicated than most people realize." China can't back down and can't crack down without major issues either way.
(CNSNews.com) - The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled last week that Idaho taxpayers must pay for a 31-year-old prison inmate to undergo "gender confirmation surgery" -- the opinion does not call it sex reassignment -- allowing the inmate to remove the bits that show the inmate was born a male.
Mason Dean Edmo, now called Adree Edmo, pleaded guilty in 2012 to sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy at a party.
Idaho Gov. Brad Little, frustrated by the "activist court," said his state plans to appeal once again, this time to the U.S. Supreme Court:
"Well, there have been two other courts that have ruled opposite, and we appealed this to the Ninth Circuit and we -- we're going to appeal it again," Little told Fox News Tuesday night.
"We just heartily disagree. It's a bad precedent, it's going to be expensive, and it's contrary to the health professionals that we've had reviewing inmate Edmo's record, all the things about the inmate. And it's just contrary to good practices, and it's another example of activist court getting in the middle of something and creating a precedent that's going to be expensive for the taxpayers of Idaho and potentially all the taxpayers of the United States."
Host Laura Ingraham noted that unelected judges, with lifetime tenure on the courts, are making policy that goes against "common sense" and the will of the American people.
"Well, as I said, there's two other courts, federal courts, that have ruled in very similar cases just the opposite way," Gov. Little responded. "So we're hopeful that justice will prevail and the taxpayers in Idaho and other states won't be forced to pay for what we see as a procedure that our health care professionals say is not necessary."
Ingraham predicted that the case will end up at the Supreme Court because of the split decisions from lower federal courts.
In its conclusion, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals wrote:
"We hold that where, as here, the record shows that the medically necessary treatment for a prisoner’s gender dysphoria is gender confirmation surgery, and responsible prison officials deny such treatment with full awareness of the prisoner’s suffering, those officials violate the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment."
The court found that Edmo's gender dysphoria "causes Edmo to experience persistent distress so severe it limits her ability to function. She has twice attempted self-castration to remove her male genitalia, which cause her profound anguish."
In a statement after the court released its ruling last Friday, Little said:
"The hardworking taxpayers of Idaho should not be forced to pay for a convicted sex offender’s gender reassignment surgery when it is contrary to the medical opinions of the treating physician and multiple mental health professionals. I intend to appeal this decision to the U.S Supreme Court. We cannot divert critical public dollars away from the higher priorities of keeping the public safe and rehabilitating offenders."

Wait. So the court is actually ordering the spaying of a child molester, for whatever reasons, and you're complaining about precedence ? Can't this be taken as a 'per case basis' thing ? Sex-change allowed only for sex offenders ?
Isn't there another way to look at this, past the 'LGBTNation must not win' angle ? I'd pay an extra 1% tax for the gummint to turn every rapist into a fairy, if they have to keep them alive.
Just searched how much the damn thing costs. I see the Guv'nor's point now. I had thought something like that would be dirt cheap in the US. Thank Gawd it's not.
