During the Terry Jones Koran burning kerfuffle Paul sided with the political establishment's consensus and 'blasted Jones.'
That's peculiar because one would expect an isolationist to reject foreign interference and libertarian to defend basic civil rights against harassment by governments foreign and domestic.
Whatever the foundation of Paul's political philosophy might be, it is neither libertarian nor isolationist.

Ace o' Spades has been running some posts on just how nutty Mr. Paul is.
The answer is, really nutty.
Apparently some of his support comes from a quiet, reverse 'Operation Chaos' from independents and Democrats who are crossing over to vote in the Pub primaries and opinion polls.

If Ron doesn't work out, they may have to go off the deep end and vote for Obamanure.

Ron Paul is the crazy old aunt of American politics. After the first three or four primaries, he'll drop into last place, drop out, run as an independent, get <1% of the vote, and have absolutely no effect on O'Bumble's humiliating defeat. I hope that's enough to get him to retire from Presidential contests. Enough is enough!

Ron Paul will probably get some delegates in Iowa and some in a few other places (although no where near the 400 or so delegates that Jesse Jackson won in 1984). It will be enough for him to get someone to nominate him at the convention.

The man is what 78 years old. He will have a great deal of history. He is too old in my opinion to run but he should have a shot at it. The thing that gets me is the attacks on Palin, Bachmann, Trump, Cain, Newt, and now Paul. Last election same thing. Good grief caca pulled one guy down last time.
A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
