Gen. Raziq’s assassination plan hatched in Pakistan: Ghani
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
said the liquidation plan of the former Police Chief of Kandahar Gen. Abdul Raziq was hatched in Pakistain.

Speaking during a gathering with the tribal elders of Kandahar, President Ghani demanded the extradition of the perpetrators involved in the liquidation of Gen. Raziq from Pakistain.

President Ghani arrived in Kandahar province earlier today accompanying a delegation of high level government officials to offer condolences to the people of the province regarding the deadly incident that left Gen. Raziq and Kandahar intelligence chief dead.

The Office of the President, ARG Palace, in a statement said President Ghani hailed the bravery and campaign of Gen. Abdul Raziq for the defense of the country and ain the fight against international terrorism.

He said if the enemies think that the liquidation of Gen. Raziq would lead to security gap in Kandahar then they should rethink as Kandahar has been home to heroes.

President Ghani also conferred the title of hero of independence to Gen. Raziq and changed the name of Kandahar Police training academy to his name, ARG Palace said, adding that President Ghani also instructed the Kandahar and Kabul Municipalities to name certain roads after Gen. Raziq’s name.

Gen. Abdul Raziq lost his life in an attack by a gunman in Kandahar governor’s compound last Thursday.

The provincial intelligence chief of the province Gen. Abdul Momin was also killed in the attack while the provincial governor Zalmay Weesa sustained injuries.

The attack was carried out by one of the security guards of Kandahar governor Zalmay Weesa.

Arabia
Trump says Khashoggi killing ‘worst cover-up ever,’ as US revokes Saudi visas
[IsraelTimes] In first sanctions, US revokes visas of 21 Saudi officials believed involved in fatal incident; Pompeo promises ’these penalties will not be the last word on this matter’

The United States announced Tuesday that it was revoking visas of nearly two dozen Saudi officials involved in the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, in the toughest action to date against its longtime ally, as President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
called the killing the "worst cover-ups in the history of cover-ups."

Trump told news hounds in the Oval Office that he’s expecting a full report on the killing soon. But he said, "They had a very bad original concept" and it was "carried out poorly."

He called the events after Khashoggi’s death "the worst cover-up ever."

Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
has claimed Khashoggi, a writer for The Washington Post who wrote critically about Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
...Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia as of 2016....
, died accidentally in a brawl at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2.

But Ottoman Turkish officials say a 15-men team tortured, killed and dismembered the writer and say Saudi officials had planned the killing for days.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the United States has "identified at least some of the individuals" behind the death.

"These penalties will not be the last word on this matter from the United States. We will continue to explore additional measures to hold those accountable," Pompeo told news hounds.

"We are making very clear that the United States does not tolerate this kind of action to silence Mr. Khashoggi, a journalist, through violence," he said.

State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert later said that the measure will affect 21 Saudi suspects who will either have their visas revoked or be ineligible for future visas.

Pompeo said that the Saudis came from "the intelligence services, the royal court, the foreign ministry and other Saudi ministries."

The top diplomat said the United States was also looking into whether to take action under a law named after Sergei Magnitsky, the anti-corruption accountant who died in Russian custody, that would impose financial sanctions on individuals behind Khashoggi’s death.

US politicians have been pressing the Trump administration to take tough action, with several mentioning the Magnitsky Act.
The bipartisan Russia and Moldova Jackson–Vanik Repeal and Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act of 2012 intended to punish Russian officials responsible for the death of Russian tax accountant Sergei Magnitsky in a Moscow prison in 2009. Since 2016 the bill, which applies globally, authorizes government to sanction human rights offenders, freeze their assets, and ban them from entering the U.S.
Pompeo reiterated that the United States still considered Saudi Arabia an ally, saying he and Trump were "not happy" to move against the kingdom.

#1  So was this an ostentatious execution of a political enemy of the Saudi regime?

Or was this an operation by MB/Turkish agents of influence within the Saudi security apparatus who deliberately arranged for this encounter to end in Kashoggi's death, triggering an improvised and clumsy attempt at a coverup?

Saudi Arabia agrees to provide Pakistan $3 billion to address balance-of-payments crisis

has agreed to provide Pakistain $3 billion in foreign currency support for a year to address its balance-of-payments crisis, the government announced on Tuesday.

The Kingdom has also agreed to provide Islamabad a one-year deferred payment facility for import of oil, worth up to another $3 billion.

The agreements in this regard were signed during the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan

Caribbean-Latin America
As predicted at the Burg: SECOND migrant mob headed for the US from Honduras!
Goody. Here’s hoping President Trump is as firm as he has threatened to be.
[Reuters] TAPACHULA, Mexico/GUATEMALA CITY - A group of over a thousand Central Americans in Guatemala headed toward the Mexican border on Tuesday, as a larger caravan of migrants that has angered U.S. President Donald Trump paused in southern Mexico on its planned journey toward the U.S. border.

Trump has vowed to begin cutting millions of dollars in aid to Central America and called the caravan in Mexico a national emergency as he seeks to boost his Republican Party’s chances in the Nov. 6 congressional elections.

The caravan, mostly Honduran migrants fleeing violence and poverty at home, is currently in the town of Huixtla in Chiapas state, around 31 miles (50 km) north of the Guatemalan border and a distant 1,100 miles (1,800 km) from the United States.

Mexico’s government said in a statement on Tuesday that it had received 1,699 requests for refugee status, including children. The government estimates there are around 4,500 people in the group.

#3  Here's something tough but effective. Say, hypothetically, you charge a $100K cost to Mexico for each of these 7,000 who enter the US, or $0.7B. Draw the penalty from a tax on the repatriation of income from Western Union-type payments of any cash sent south, and include profits from US and other companies doing business in Mexico.

Use half, $350M, for the wall, and the other half for the items mentioned by Besoeker and other social problems, including crime and terrorism.

#4  Or we take 20 miles of Mexico as a buffer, dump all our radioactive waste and any other hazardous waste we don't want and put fences on both sides with signs reading "If you cross this fence, you will die." If people cross, they don't make it to the other fence. Problem solved. Think of it as evolution in action.

Pence points to leftist groups as caravan organizers
[PULSE.NG] Vice President Mike Pence suggested Tuesday that leftist groups financed by Venezuela might be behind the caravan of Central American migrants colonists headed toward the US border.

Speaking at a forum hosted by The Washington Post, Pence said he had been in contact with the presidents of Honduras and Guatemala about the unfolding situation.

He said Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez told him the caravan "was organized by leftist groups in Honduras financed by Venezuela and sent north to challenge our illusory sovereignty and challenge our border."

The Wall Street Journal editorial board and the conservative Heritage Foundation also have highlighted reports that the caravan was organized by a former Honduran politician, Bartolo Fuentes, of the leftist Libre party.

Fuentes was deported from Guatemala on Friday after being enjugged
Book 'im, Mahmoud!
for entering the country illegally with Honduran migrants colonists who had trekked from San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

The Honduran newspaper La Tribuna quoted Fuentes on October 16 as acknowledging that he and other Libre members organized the caravan through Facebook.

Libre was founded by a coalition of leftist groups led by Manuel Zelaya, a former Honduran president and ally of the late Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez. Zelaya was ousted by the military in 2009.

Pence said the United States was working closely with Mexico to keep the caravan, estimated to have grown to 7,000 people, from crossing the border.

"We're going to do everything in our power to prevent this caravan from coming north and violating our border," he said.

Rather this time I recommend the traffickers be dropped off at Guantanamo instead where no due process is required till the trafficking problem is solved.

Jamal Khashoggi: Saudi journalist's body parts found in garden, sez Sky sources
[SkyNews] By Alex Crawford, special correspondent, in Istanbul

Body parts belonging to murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi have been found, according to two Sky sources.

The sources have told Sky News the Saudi dissident had been "cut up" and his face "disfigured".

One source also suggested the writer's remains were discovered in the garden of the Saudi consul general's Istanbul home - located around 500 metres away from the consulate.

It contradicts the explanation being made by Saudi officials that the body was rolled up in a carpet and handed to a local collaborator who was tasked with disposing of the evidence.

Erdogan calls for trial in Istanbul of Khashoggi suspects, terms death planned murder
[DAWN] Ottoman Turkish President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First

on Tuesday called for the trial in Istanbul of the Saudi suspects in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, a crime that he said was intricately planned days in advance.

Erdogan had promised that his speech in Ankara would give the "naked truth" about the killing and he gave a host of new details while still saying The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

CIA Director Gina Haspel in Turkey to investigate Khashoggi murder
[CBS] CIA Director Gina Haspel is traveling to Turkey as part of the investigation into the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, CBS News has learned. Saudi Arabia said Friday that Khashoggi, who was last seen Oct. 2, was killed at its consulate in Istanbul, but said he had started a "fistfight."

Earlier Monday, President Trump told reporters "we have top intelligence people in Turkey," but he didn't specify who he meant.

"We're going to see what we have," Mr. Trump said. "I'll know a lot tomorrow, they'll be coming back tonight or tomorrow morning. But we have people in Saudi Arabia."

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he will release a report Tuesday revealing the "naked truth" about what happened to Khashoggi.

Khashoggi, a journalist for The Washington Post, was a known critic of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is a son of King Salman. Turkish officials allege they have video and audio evidence showing Khashoggi was dismembered. U.S. officials have been increasing pressure on Turkey to share the allegedly damning evidence.

ISIS Media Group Threatens to Behead FBI Official Over Arrest of Chicago Member
[PJ] A pro-ISIS media group issued an online threat against an FBI special agent-in-charge over the arrest of one of their American members on a charge of providing material support and resources to a foreign terrorist organization.

Ashraf Al Safoo,
...the quiet Iraqi-American immigrant and family man with a masters degree in computer science who heads a full scale PR organization that employs the usual variety of specialists for the purpose of internet jihad. His previous appearance in our archives gave his name as Ashraf al-Safoo, and no doubt at some point he will be named Ashraf Alsafoo or Ashraf A. Safoo...
34, of Chicago made his first court appearance on Friday and is scheduled to appear for a detention hearing on Thursday. At the time of his arrest he worked as a web developer for BlueBolt Solutions, a Chicago software company; his LinkedIn profile said he specializes in Microsoft technologies.

Al Safoo is a member of Khattab Media Foundation, which disseminates propaganda and recruitment materials on behalf of ISIS including posters, videos and articles released on sites including YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.

In response to his arrest, Khattab just released a new poster depicting a jihadist about to behead a victim face-down on a street with a city skyline in the backdrop. "From Khattab Foundation to Jeffrey The Dog of Romans," states the message. "We read your message YOU son of an infidel mother and the answer will be what YOU will see not what YOU will hear."

Millions in SNAP $$$ Flowed to Terrorists via 'hawalas' - Staring Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev
[Breitbart] Millions of taxpayers dollars trafficked through food stamp fraud went to terrorists who funded their activities at home and abroad, according to an explosive report from the Government Accountability Institute (GAI).

The report from GAI, where Breitbart News Senior-Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer serves as president, highlighted several instances where money obtained through Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits fraud went to fund acts of terrorism, including the 1993 World Trade Center bombings and the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing.

Although this method of using food stamp fraud money for terrorism has been around since the 1980s, it gained notoriety when New York City detectives testified before a Senate subcommittee about the 1993 World Trade Center bombings.

#1  For those readers unfamiliar with the scheme...
SNAP (and other programs) recipients use their benefit coupons in exchange or as payment for groceries. The groceries are then brokered for cash to local (mini-mart or bodega) merchants at discounted prices. The items are then sold at high market value*.

SNAP associated families may also own and operate said markets. So employees are paid very little.

*Milk, eggs and bread are always high priced at a gas station.

Nope. Asymptotically closer to overt rage, maybe.

Alone on his lawn with his queries,
Is a long way from home
In a leaky old dome
And his love for Antareans... varies.

#3  Lots of bad guy organizations use SNAP benefits, cigarette sales, credit card fraud, and so forth to finance their nefarious schemes. This is why the Democrats do not chase down the fraud in most cases, and why President Trump needs to.

US appeals court upholds terror conviction for imam
[IsraelTimes] A US appeals court has upheld the conviction and life prison sentence given to a London imam for supporting terrorism.

The 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals said Tuesday there was overwhelming evidence against Mustafa Kamel Mustafa.
...the Egypt-born one-eyed, hook-handed hate preacher generally known as Abu Hamza al-Masri, previously of Finsbury Park Mosque. He now graces the Florence, Colorado supermax prison, and was connected to more planned and executed terror plots and jihadis around the world over the past several decades than you can shake a stick at, some of them Al Qaeda...
The court also ruled that Mustafa’s 2012 extradition to the US from England didn’t come with conditions preventing his incarceration at the Supermax prison in Florence, Colorado.

Mustafa is missing both hands. His lawyers say he belongs at a prison better suited to people with disabilities.
Ol’ Hook Hands is a dyed-in-the-wool villain of the first water. Very few are as deserving as he of a lifetime spent in Supermax solitary — made especially piquant in his case because he stupidly blew off his hands while failing to learn how to manufacture bombs in Afghanistan. In line with longstanding trial lawyer practice, his advocates, having neither law nor facts on their side, are busily pounding the table.
Mustafa was convicted in 2014 of ensuring there were satellite communications for kidnappers during a 1998 attack that killed four tourists in Yemen, of supporting plans to open an al-Qaeda training camp in Bly, Oregon, and sending someone to an Afghanistan training camp.

US renews call on Pakistan to cut off extremists
[JOURNALDUCAMEROUN] US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Tuesday renewed calls on Pakistain to curb faceless myrmidons fighting in Afghanistan, saying Washington was holding its uneasy war partner accountable.

Pompeo made the comment as he welcomed long-delayed legislative elections in Afghanistan, saying the United States was "encouraged" by voter turnout, despite reports of widespread problems including poll centers that failed to open or lacked voter rolls.

"Our expectation is that Pakistain will not provide safe harbor to bully boyz on their western border," Pompeo told news hounds when asked about Islamabad’s role.

"We couldn’t have made that message any more clear," he said, adding: "Pakistain will be held to account if they don’t achieve that, if they’re not sincere in that effort."

"Everyone wants a reconciliation in Afghanistan and to achieve that, you can’t have a safe harbor for Taliban

, for Haqqani and for others inside of Pakistain," he said, listing myrmidon movements fighting in Afghanistan.

President Donald Trump

Pakistain has countered that it has paid a heavy price internally for fighting Death Eaters and that it can help bring the Taliban to the table.

NAB challenges suspension of Sharifs’ jail term
[DAWN] The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday challenged the Sept 19, 2018 Islamabad High Court (IHC) order of suspending the jail term awarded by a trial court in the Avenfield reference to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif
... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf, then by the courts...
, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law retired captain Mohammad Safdar.

In its appeal, which was filed through its special prosecutor Akram Qureshi, NAB contended that the IHC had failed to appreciate that through its order, it had seriously prejudiced the case of the prosecution by holding that the trial court judgement suffered from obvious and glaring defects and infirmities and that the convictions and sentences handed down to the accused might not be sustained ultimately.

It requested the apex court to set aside the IHC order and recall the relief of suspending the sentence and the grant of bail to all the accused.

On Sept 19, a division bench of the high court had set free Nawaz Sharif, his daughter and son-in-law after accepting their petitions seeking suspension of the sentence awarded to them by an accountability court of Islamabad on July 6. The court had awarded 10 years imprisonment to Nawaz Sharif, seven years to his daughter and one year to his son-in-law in the Avenfield apartment reference.

UN committee slams French 'burqa ban' for 'violating' rights
[DAWN] The United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
Human Rights Committee on Tuesday criticised La Belle France's so-called burqa ban, saying the law "violated" the rights of two women who were fined for wearing full-face veils in public.

The committee called for the women to be compensated and for a review of the 2010 law that forbids people from publicly wearing clothing that conceals their face.

"The French law disproportionately harmed the petitioners' right to manifest their religious beliefs," the committee said in a statement.

It added that it was not convinced by La Belle France's claim that the ban was necessary for security and social reasons.

Death threats non-stop for Iraqi male beauty pageant contestant
[IraqiNews] An Iraqi male beauty pageants contestant says death threats continue to him and his family over his activity, to which religiously-driven contempt left a number of peers dead.

Wahab Hasso, 23, a Yazidi who lived in the Netherlands as a refugee since 2012, and a finalist at two earlier pageants, told Sputnik website he secretly walked out of a 2017 contest in the Netherlands after receiving death threats for his Iraq-based family via angry facebook commentators.

He said threats to his family began in 2017, right after the liquidation of Karar Noshi, a young Iraqi artist and a social network celebrity known for his flamboyant style.

He revealed that the most recent threats were received after the liquidation of Iraqi female pageants star, Tara Fares, who was filmed by a security camera being rubbed out in her car by an attacker.

Hesso vowed to take part in upcoming pageant in the Netherlands in response to the liquidation of Hammoudi al-Meteiry, a 15-year-old boy, famous as "the King of Instagram" who was found dead with stabs in Baghdad earlier this month after his unknown killers doubted his "sexual orientations".

Iraq, since August, has witnessed liquidations of several social celebrities, including, most recently, Tara Fares, a second-ranking for "Miss Iraq" pageant, as well as cosmetics experts and rights activists, incidents which won condemnation by the United Nations

US Military Disabled Russian Signaling Devices In Syria For The First Time
Alexander Sitnikov, wrote in Svobodnaya Pressa, on a report explaining the ways to counter Putin’s threats to the US military.

[Muraselon] "The Pentagon prefers to keep the details of its confrontation with Russian means of electronic warfare secret," the article said. At times, some retired US generals are praising our electronic systems as the best in the world, even though they still consider the US military the strongest on the planet." Sitnikov wrote.

"What kind of American power can be spoken, if almost all of its weapons are connected to satellite communications, GPS, mobile Internet, and electronic warfare devices, and as is known these connections can be easily disabled. Yet Americans are confident in their power."

"It is quite natural that Syria, torn by the seven-year war, has become the main field of the indirect battle between new types of American and Russian weapons, including electronic warfare." Sitnikov added.

The DARPA report, published recently by the Advanced Defense Research Projects Agency, on the implementation of a $ 9.6 million contract, received a special attention from military experts and journalists. Interestingly, the funds were allocated to provide US forces, in Syria and Iraq, with alternative communications systems capable of operating under strong electronic radio interference conditions.

Worth-notable that DARPA contracts are executed under special confidentiality conditions. The infusion, it seems, has been a mistake. As soon as the report was published in the network, the Washington edition of the Monitor turned to the US Army General Paul Funk, who led, until June, coalition forces in the war against the Islamic state group.

The Monitor noted that "General Funk was surprised and said he was hearing it for the first time". Thus, it is possible to talk about the new DARPA innovations that have emerged recently with US forces.

While the media abroad wrote a year ago about the systems of our electronic warfare, "these systems are not as scary as they are portrayed, they are even more frightening," and now they talk a lot about the constant search for new solutions. That both the Russian and American armies are testing each other regularly, looking for weaknesses.

US announces sanctions on Iran over Taliban support
[IsraelTimes] Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin says that the United States and six other Middle East countries are taking action to expose and disrupt terrorist activities being conducted by the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
and Iran to undermine the government of Afghanistan.

Mnuchin says the seven countries have designated nine individuals associated with the Taliban and their Iranian sponsors for sanctions. The seven nations make up the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center which has an operations center in Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
Mnuchin met with the crown prince of Saudi Arabia on Monday after announcing last week that he would not attend an investment conference in Saudi Arabia following the death of a journalist in the Saudi consulate in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
The administration sees Saudi Arabia as a key ally in its sanctions campaign against Iran.

Man believed to be Japanese journalist held hostage in Syria freed
[IsraelTimes] Japan’s government says a man believed to be a Japanese freelance journalist who went missing three years ago while in Syria has been released and is now in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...Qatar's colony in Asia Minor....
Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga says Japan was informed by Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. that the man, believed to be journalist Jumpei Yasuda, has been released.

Yasuda was last heard from in Syria in 2015.

Suga said Qatar’s government told Japanese officials that the man is being protected by the Ottoman Turkish authorities and is being identified, and that he is most likely Yasuda.

Suga said he has notified Yasuda’s family of the news.

Yasuda started reporting on the Middle East in the early 2000s. He was taken hostage in Iraq in 2004 with three other Japanese, but was freed after Islamic holy mans negotiated his release.

His most recent trip to Syria was in 2015 to report on his journalist friend Kenji Goto, who was taken hostage and killed by the Islamic State
