Afghanistan
Anti-Taliban chants, thousands including vice-President Saleh took to streets
[KhaamaPress] The anti-Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
rallying calls which were firstly chanted by people in Herat
...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns...
province Monday night spread to the Afghan capital Kabul, Khost, Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
, and Kunar province
... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country.....
s the following night.

In Kabul, thousands of people erupted into the streets chanting ALLAH AKBAR (God is Great) to oppose the Taliban offensive and support the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.

Vice-president Amrullah Saleh was among those who were crying the slogans opposing the Taliban.

While thousands were protesting on the streets in Kabul, thousands of others including women and kiddies were roaring the chants from their rooftops and the remaining were crying the slogans from the loudspeakers of mosques.

Kunar and Nangarhar provinces in eastern Afghanistan and Khost in southeastern also witnessed wide rallies crying ALLAH AKBAR in support to ANDSF and opposing the Taliban.

In Khost province
... across the border from Miranshah, within commuting distance of Haqqani hangouts such as Datta Khel and probably within sight of Mordor. Khost is populated by six different tribes of Pashtuns, the largest probably being the Khostwal, from which it takes its name...
, apart from the hundreds of people who have gathered on the streets, Mullahs (religious scholars) were chanting the chant through the loudspeakers of mosques.

President Ghani on Tuesday said that the chants imply who is respecting the sacred call and who is fulfilling the commandments of Allah. He accused the Taliban of killing innocent Afghans.

The Taliban front man Zabiullah Mujahid in a tweet reacted to the move and called the chants a lie and dubbed the protesters as Americans and Seculars.

#1  thousands of people erupted into the streets chanting ALLAH AKBAR (God is Great) to oppose the Taliban offensive

Such an illustrative tableaux of the underlying cause and quintessential intractability of this whole clusterfcuk. It screams out the reason why this is totally not a non-moslem nation's problem.

#3  ^ The media and govt conspired to give out the name Afroz, but his real name was Furkan, although the way these fcukers change their names he could be anything now. I never did get a photo of him out. After the ringleader got wasted, everyone down to the President made it a priority to protect them all. This bastard was taken in by an NGO down in Kozhikode somewhere, some delusional bastitches, after his sentence. The fingerprints, DNA evidence, etc were all sealed on Kejriwal 's lawyers insistence, until 2016. The Juvenile Justice Rules, 2016 [legislated haphazardly by our dear Modi government] entails actually destroying all the records. Because 'the past of a juvenile criminal must never endanger his future'.

Mexico sues US gun manufacturers over arms trafficking toll
[FoxNews] Smith & Wesson, Barrett Firearms, Beretta, Colt's and Glock among biggest names in guns being sued

The Mexican government sued United States gun manufacturers and distributors Wednesday in U.S. federal court, arguing that their negligent and illegal commercial practices have unleashed tremendous bloodshed in Mexico.
Too late. Should've gone after Eric "Chinless" Holder and Oblahblah
The unusual lawsuit was filed in U.S. federal court in Boston. Among those being sued are some of the biggest names in guns, including: Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc.; Barrett Firearms Manufacturing, Inc.; Beretta U.S.A. Corp.; Colt’s Manufacturing Company LLC, and Glock Inc. Another defendant is Interstate Arms, a Boston-area wholesaler that sells guns from all but one of the named manufacturers to dealers around the U.S.

The manufacturers did not immediately answer requests for comment.

The Mexican government argues that the companies know that their practices contribute to the trafficking of guns to Mexico and facilitate it. Mexico wants compensation for the havoc the guns have wrought in its country.

The Mexican government "brings this action to put an end to the massive damage that the Defendants cause by actively facilitating the unlawful trafficking of their guns to drug cartels and other criminals in Mexico," the lawsuit said.

The government estimates that 70% of the weapons trafficked to Mexico come from the U.S., according to the Foreign Affairs Ministry. And that in 2019 alone, at least 17,000 homicides were linked to trafficked weapons.

Alejandro Celorio, legal advisor for the ministry, told reporters Wednesday that the damage caused by the trafficked guns would be equal to 1.7% to 2% of Mexico’s gross domestic product. The government will seek at least $10 billion in compensation, he said. Mexico's GDP last year was more than $1.2 trillion.

"We don’t do it to pressure the United States," Celorio said. "We do it so there aren’t deaths in Mexico."

Their logic explained:
We (Mexico Politicians) do not have the webos to stand up to our Drug Cartels, Gangs and Human traffickers. So we will sue the gun manufacturers because we don't have a pair.

OK! if that's how the biden Admin wants to funnel $$$$ to Mexico elite pockets to get a percentage back in return for their pockets or their dismal looking re-election campaigns....then.

Everyone in the USA including US Border Patrol families that have lost a family member due to these MEXICAN Officials allowance of the Drug Cartels activities and Gangs, needs to sue Mexico in International Court.

Plus the US Taxpayers need to sue them world court for failing to control its borders to the tune of 12+ Million Illegals in the USA. the 12 Million that are making use of and draining US taxpayer funded resources.

Texas border city puts up temporary shelters to cope with ‘rapidly escalating' migrant surge
See also here for this week’s tally.
[FoxNews] The Texas border city of McAllen on Wednesday announced it is setting up temporary emergency shelters in response to what it describes as a "rapidly escalating" surge in migrants flooding across the border — and warning that the numbers are triggering a crisis in the city.

"Despite the City of McAllen and its community partners’ best efforts, the sheer number of immigrants being released into the city has become a crisis: a crisis the City of McAllen did not create and has proactively tried to avoid for seven years," the city said in a statement.

The border town’s city commission approved setting up temporary emergency shelter for the "overwhelming number of immigrants stranded in McAllen by U.S. Customs and Border Protection."

McAllen officials said the start of the current surge began in 2014 and has continued into 2021 — when the city has seen more than 87,000 migrants pass through. They said that, faced with a "rapidly escalating surge" of migrants, the city took action to "mitigate emergent health and safety risks."

The embattled city described in its statement a situation in which migrants are being admitted into the U.S. after being detained only for a few days, and often without being tested for COVID-19 by the federal government. While many migrants are being returned via Title 42 public health protections, the Biden administration is not returning unaccompanied children and migrant families with small children.

In what it calls an "unacceptable flaw" in the immigration system, McAllen officials said the burden has fallen on the local branch of Catholic Charities, which has established centers to provide families with essentials and help them contact family members or others already in the country.

Tanker hijacking off Oman coast 'false-flag' op designed to rally support against Iran, analyst tells Press TV
[Iran Press TV] A political analyst tells Press TV that the recent alleged hijacking of a Panama-flagged tanker off the coast of Oman was a "false-flag" operation and "media hype" aimed at damaging Iran’s credit and undermining security in the Persian Gulf.

"It was expected from the Israelis and Americans to start using [hues and] cries about the current affairs in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman and go for ... false-flag hijacking and unreal stories in order to rally international support for their bid to win a UN Security Council resolution against Iran," Mostafa Khoshcheshm told Press TV in an interview on Wednesday.

He said that after their failure to rally support for a UN resolution following a ship incident off the Omani coast in the last few days, the US and its allies went for a false-flag operation to pressure the international community into joining them in pressuring Tehran.

Tensions have simmered in the region after a suspected drone attack last week on an Israeli-managed tanker off the Omani coast killed two crew members and was blamed on Iran by the United States, Israel and Britannia. Iran categorically denied the accusation.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pound, the little lost dog backed into the corner and showed its teeth. And what big teeth they were!...
maritime sources reported on Tuesday that the Panama-flagged asphalt/bitumen tanker Asphalt Princess had been seized off the coast of the United Arab Emirates at the opening of the Strait of Hormuz — one of the world’s busiest waterways, accusing Iran of being behind the incident.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations said on Wednesday that the potential hijack of the Panama-flagged vessel had ended.

The security agency said the ship was safe and boarders had left the tanker, without giving any further details in its warning notice.

Khoshcheshm said such efforts by the US and its allies in the Persian Gulf were only disturbing peace and security in the strategic region, which was to the detriment of regional countries.

"They are actually disturbing security in the Persian Gulf, that’s detrimental to the security of all the neighbors ... because the Israelis and the Americans have long proved that they don’t care for security in this region because they don’t live in this part of the world. So they don’t sustain much damage while other countries in the region are victims of such hues and cries," the analyst said.

Gantz: Iran is 10 weeks from breakout to a nuclear weapon
[JPost] Iran will be able to break out to a nuclear weapon within 10 weeks, Defense Minister Benny Gantz told diplomats from UN Security Council member states on Wednesday.

"Iran has violated all of the guidelines set in the JCPOA [nuclear agreement] and is only around 10 weeks away from acquiring weapons-grade materials necessary for a nuclear weapon," Gantz warned.

"Therefore," he added, "it is time to act. The world must apply economic sanctions and take operative action against Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps."

In recent weeks, top Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and Gantz have expressed alarm to the US and others that Iran is taking advantage of a long pause in negotiations to return to the JCPOA to dramatically advance its nuclear program. The talks have been on hold since June, and the regime in Tehran says they will not restart at least until after its new president, Ebrahim Raisi, forms a new government later this month.

Gantz’s remarks were made in a presentation with Lapid to diplomats from UN Security Council member states on Wednesday, as part of a push by Israel for the UNSC to sanction Iran for its maritime attacks, including on the Mercer Street, which is managed by an Israeli company, and Asphalt Princess in the Gulf in the past week.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud repeated Riyadh's stance at a virtual conference of the Aspen Security Forum on Tuesday that it could live with a "longer and stronger" version of Iran's 2015 nuclear deal with world powers if it ensured Tehran never obtained nuclear arms know-how.

"We certainly support a deal with Iran as long as that deal ensures that Iran will not now or ever gain access to nuclear weapons technology," he said, saying Riyadh would welcome an Iran that contributed to regional stability and prosperity.

"But that would require (Iran) engaging in the region as a state actor in a normal way..., not supporting militias, not sending weapons to armed groups, and most importantly, giving up a nuclear program which might be used... to develop nuclear weapons."

Iran's Revolutionary Guard drone commander behind ship attack
[JPost] Saeed Ara Jani, head of Iran's IRGC Drone Command, was behind the attack on the Israel-linked Mercer Street ship, Gantz and Lapid revealed.

Saeed Ara Jani, head of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ UAV Command, was behind the attack on the Israel-linked Mercer Street ship, Foreign Minister Yair Lapid and Defense Minister Benny Gantz revealed in a briefing with diplomats from UN Security Council member states on Wednesday.

"Ara Jani is the head operator of the IRGC Air Force’s UAV system, which struck the Mercer Street," Gantz told the ambassadors. "He provides the supplies, training, plans and is responsible for many acts of terror in the region."

Gantz pointed out that Iran is responsible for dozens of terrorist attacks in the Middle East, and operates proxies in Yemen, Iraq and other countries.

The defense minister said he would provide the participating countries with detailed intelligence on the matter.
Update from the Times of Israel with an additional name:
Defense Minister Benny Gantz and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid reveal to ambassadors of countries on the UN Security Council the names of the IRGC commanders he says are responsible for the recent UAV attacks on civilian shipping.

Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the IRGC’s Air Force, is behind dozens of terror attacks in the region employing UAVs and missiles,” says Gantz.
