FBI Investigating Antifa For Plotting To Buy Guns From Cartel For ‘Armed Rebellion'
The FBI is investigating anti-fascist activists for an alleged plot to buy guns from a Mexican cartel in order to "stage an armed rebellion" at the southern border, according to an unclassified document obtained by The Chicago Tribune.
Guess they can't buy them legally here
The FBI document, from December of 2018, warns of militant antifa activists planning to "disrupt security operations" at the U.S.-Mexico border. The group allegedly planned to buy guns from a Mexican cartel associate known as Cobra Commander, in order to "stage an armed rebellion at the border."

The source who provided it to the San Diego Tribune asked the outlet not to publish the six-page document because the investigation is ongoing, and the outlet cited two additional law enforcement officials who confirmed the news. The FBI has warned dozens of law enforcement agencies in both Mexico and the United States of the alleged plot.

Two of the men named in the report told the San Diego Tribune the allegations are absurd.

"It doesn't make any sense that someone from the United States would purchase guns in Mexico," Ivan Reibeling, the man known as Cobra Commander, told the outlet. "And the Hondurans certainly didn't bring money to buy guns. It doesn't make any sense; in fact it's extremely absurd to say the Hondurans wanted to attack the United States at the border.

The FBI sent the report marked "priority" to agencies including the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the CIA and the National Security Administration.

Antifa is known for using violent means, including in protests against peaceful conservative speakers, free speech advocates and even journalists. The well-documented instances of violence include a protester repeatedly punching a man in the face, throwing water bottles and launching fireworks at police officers and starting fires on a college campus with Molotov cocktails. The Daily Caller News Foundation's reporting led to the arrest of an Antifa leader who stands accused of accosting and assaulting two Marines in Philadelphia.

Former Vice President Joe Biden launched his campaign for president by praising the group. He referred to a group of protesters who gathered in Charlottesville, VA, and violently confronted white nationalists "a courageous group of Americans."
If you wonder what side old Joe is on, remember this quote. They are the muscle of his party.

Afghanistan
Peace Jirga Begins With 3,200 Delegates In Attendance
[ToloNews] The Grand Consultative Jirga on Peace was started on Monday despite that it has been boycotted by many mainstream political parties and election tickets.

Addressing the inauguration of the Jirga, President Ghani's Special Envoy Umer Daudzai said at least 3,200 delegates and 300 guests have attended the event.
Only marginally outnumbering the Dem POTUS Candidates for 2020
"Mr. President, I assure you that every district has delegates in the Jirga," Daudzai said. "We also asked the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
to not stop people and the delegates from attending the Jirga. We thank the Taliban for listening to our call and we call on them to listen to the message of Jirga delegates."

Daudzai said delegates from Afghan refugees in Iran and Pakistain have also attended the Peace Jirga.

He added that the Peace Jirga was organized in at least 40 days.

Addressing the event, President Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
the Jirga will also seek ways to end war and violence in the country and that the delegates hope to find Afghanistan’s pathway for at least one century.

"It is a pride and exciting to see that 3,200 elected delegates have been gathered under one dignified umbrella from across Afghanistan to determine the framework of talks with the Taliban," Ghani said.

He said the families of both sides -- the Afghan government and the Taliban ‐ have paid the price for war and that he sees himself responsible to end the suffering.

"The four days of the Jirga will prove that you, the elected delegates of the nation, are the symbol of power and national unity and you are the owners of willingness, talent, understanding and views and you are hoping for peace and prosperity," said Ghani. "The political generation is changing. You, the delegates of all of Afghanistan, are the representatives of the new political generation and trust your judgment," Ghani said.

Libya's Mufti urges people to forget the past to save their country
[Libya Observer] The Libyan Mufti, Sheikh al-Sadiq al-Ghariani
...Libyan Moslem Brüderhood Grand Mufti since 2012. Issued a fatwa forbidding Libyan women from marrying foreign men. Issued a "fatwa against a UN Commission on the Status of Women's report because it urged governments to protect women and girls against violence" Aligned with the GNC govt...
has called on Libyans to be united in order to save the country, which he said is under destruction threats, urging them as well to leave the past behind and start over for the sake of Libya.

The Mufti urged the fighters, whom he described as fighting "invading mercenaries and setting an example by their sacrifices for the unity of all Libyan parties: Presidential Council, High Council of State, General National Congress members and others" for unity.

He also called on preachers, political analysts, activists, and all other Libyans to forget the past, saying the disagreements of years had brought misfortunes and bloodshed in the country and adding that all Libyans ought to be united at this time.

"Libya is under attack now and we all should be united in order to overcome it. All those who speak in public to cause chaos and division are making mistakes punishable by religion as they lead to killings and destruction. The enemy is cunning and has a long history of crimes and will be happy for the division among his opponents." The Mufti added.

He urged social media users to stop the verbal war and to leave the past behind as it is "Haram" to talk about the past at this point because it causes division.

Sheikh al-Sadiq al-Ghariani indicated that forgetting about the past actions of others needs courage and helps boost the victory chances for the whole country.

Erdogan: Turkey denounces conspiracy against Libya
[Libya Observer] The Ottoman Turkish President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey...
said Sunday his country denounces the offensive against Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
and decries the conspiracy against Libya's stability.

Erdogan added in a phone call with the Head of the Presidential Council Fayez al-Sarraj that The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
will use its capabilities to prevent this conspiracy from befalling Libyans.

Erdogan also said that his country will support the legitimate government in Libya, that is the "Government of National Accord" and added that there can be no military solution to the crisis as the political process is the only way out of the current conflict.

Al-Sarraj told Erdogan that the forces under his government's command are fighting for the democratic aspirations of all Libyans and keep on doing so until the attacking forces are defeated and pushed back to their previous positions.

Al-Sarraj also hailed Turkey's support for legitimacy and reiterated the need for activating joint agreements between the two countries.

Two days ago, Erdogan said that in Libya, there is a government legitimized by people's approval and a dictator receiving support from some Arab countries and Europe, referring to Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
Erdogan added that Libya is now the scene for dark scenarios that aim to destabilize the region, according to a report by Anadolu Agency, adding that Turkey will do all that is in its power to prevent another Syria in Libya.

UN envoy says Haftar isn't that democratic. So there.
[Libya Observer] The United Nations
...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, warned Monday of the continuing support for Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
saying he is not a democratic figure and that most Libyans see him as the new Qadaffy.

Salame told La Belle France Inter Radio that Haftar isn't Abraham Lincoln and isn't a great democracy supporter.

"Haftar has some power, he wants to unite Libya which fragmented after 2011. He doesn't want the power to be in the hands of gangs and that is positive. But how is he going to do that in areas outside his control. Even in areas under his control, he rules with an iron fist." Salame remarked.

He added that he has doubts about the way Haftar wants to rule Libya because "when see his way of ruling, nothing appears but a ruling with an iron fist.

"The UN Security Council is largely split regarding Libya and that was manifested in their failure to pass the UK-drafted resolution for a ceasefire. The temptation of the strongman idea is very widespread but the reality is that the strongman is not that strong, which is also a problem for his supporters." Salame added.

He indicated that no one can ignore Haftar but there shouldn't be adaptation of Haftar's political project as it doesn't suit a very large majority of Libyans.

Parliament members who oppose Haftar's war on Tripoli to hold session Thursday
[Libya Observer] Several members of the House of Representatives (HoR) announced in Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
on Monday that they will hold next Thursday a session in Rexos Conference Hall as per the Skhirat agreement.

"We call on the rest of HoR members to join us in the Thursday session." Hamouda Sayala said reading a final statement issued by the members.

The members agreed on the agenda of the Thursday session, including electing a new Speaker and two deputies then discussing items 16, 17, and 18 of the Libyan Political Agreement, adding that they will be ending the transitional phase.

HoR members announced Sunday that they would hold a consultation session in the presence of 41 members with the oldest member chairing the session in order to elect a Speaker and issue condemnation of the war on Tripoli by Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. 49 HoR members issued a statement on the first days of Tripoli offensive condemning the escalation, rejecting military coup and supporting the civil state.

In the meantime, 31 HoR members issued a statement earlier this month backing up Haftar's military operation in Tripoli saying it is a holy war on terrorism.

Arabia
Death toll in Yemen to reach 233,000 by end of year
[ALMASDARNEWS] The corpse count from the ongoing war in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
will reach a staggering 233,000 if it continues until the end of 2019, a new report from the United Nations
...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks...
said.

According to the UN report, of the 233,000 estimated deaths in Yemen, 102,000 will be combat-related and the remaining 131,000 due to malnutrition, cholera, and other diseases.

In another shocking statistic, the U.N. report said that 140,000 children will have been killed since the start of the conflict in March of 2015.

The report said that by the end of the year, one child will death will be reported every 11 minutes and 54 seconds.

These totals are only expected to increase substantially in the next three years, as the U.N. estimates the corpse count will reach nearly 500,000 by 2022.

Unlike the war in Syria, the conflict in Yemen is rarely discussed in the international media.

Despite the fact that the Yemeni War is now the most violent conflict in the Middle East region, it still receives less coverage than other conflicts.

Europe
Over 1.55 billion euros has been spent on the illegal anonymous migrant cards
[Website of the Hungarian Government] “Over two million people have received anonymous migrant cards, and the equivalent of 500 billion forints (1.55 bn euros) has been spent in this manner”, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister György Bakondi said on Hungarian M1 television’s Friday morning current affairs program.

Mr. Bakondi said the migrant cards are unlawful, because European citizens cannot own anonymous banking cards, they cannot be monitored, and no public procurement procedure was launched for their issuing.

“This solution, which ‘has not been thought through and is unlawful’, and other efforts on the part of the European Union to legalise illegal migration such as the migrant visa and the establishment of legal channels for immigration, represent a security risk with healthcare, economic and cultural consequences for Hungarian and European citizens’, he stated.

In the Chief Security Advisor’s opinion, they don’t want to stop migration, but legalise it. “Hungary, however, does not agree with this. Hungary’s opinion is that the problem must not be brought into Europe, but that instead, assistance must be provided to enable problems to be solved on site”, he added.

Mr. Bakondi also mentioned that the good weather has led to an increase in the number of migrants on the Balkan migration route.

Govt weighs options to cope with aftermath of polio scare
[DAWN] The government is considering options to cope with the aftermath of the fear created after the Monday last’s incident in which thousands of children were briefly hospitalised for ’reaction’ of anti-polio
...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set...
vaccine.

The options include reducing the quantum of the national immunisation and sub-immunisation campaigns against poliomyelitis, according to sources.

They said that currently nine national immunisation campaigns, six-week apart, were conducted in the province while four sub immunisation anti-polio campaigns took place in the selected districts. It meant that the vaccination staff visited each household on average 10 times a month that created doubts in the minds of people, they added.

Frequent campaigns also exposed the health workers, who enraged some people by knocking at their doors more often. "The new strategy is aimed at shifting from high profile to a low profile business," said sources.

LHC directs police to submit proof that resulted in Khadim Rizvi's arrest
[DAWN] The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday directed the authorities to submit the record of proof that led to the arrest of Pakistain Tehrik-e-Labaik (TLP) chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi.

A two-member bench, headed by Justice Mohammad Qasim Khan, was hearing bail petitions filed by Rizvi and Pir Afzal Qadri.

The high court also ordered the concerned SP Investigation and the investigation officer on the case to appear before the court in all consequent hearings of the case.

The petitioners held the Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

government and others as party in their bail plea.

The counsel for Rizvi contended that police jugged
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
him on the bases of an "illegal" case. The allegation of incitement to violence against the TLP chief was baseless, he added.

During the hearing, Justice Qasim pointed out that in the last hearing, the prosecutor general was asked to appear before the court. Deputy Prosecutor General Khurrum Khan, who was present in the court room, responded that the prosecutor general was in Islamabad and that he had transferred the case to the deputy.

Senate sees off religious parties' opposition to pass bill against child marriage
[DAWN] The Senate on Monday passed the Child Marriage Restraint (Amendment) Bill, 2018 which proposes that the legal minimum age of marriage in the country be set at 18.

The bill was presented by PPP Senator Sherry Rehman, who told the House that according to a report by the United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
Children's Fund, around 21 per cent Paks got married before turning 18.

She also pointed out that Moslem countries including Oman, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...Qatar's colony in Asia Minor....
and United Arab Emirates have already set 18 as the minimum age of entering marriage.

Rehman also apprised the upper house of the fatal threat that underage marriages pose to mothers. "One woman dies in childbirth every 20 minutes," she said, adding that the reason for these deaths were early pregnancies.

Jamaat Ulema-e-Islam
...Assembly of Islamic Clergy, or JUI, is a Pak Deobandi (Hanafi) political party. There are two main branches, one led by Maulana Fazlur Rahman, and one that was led by Maulana Samiul Haq. Fazl is active in Pak politix and Sami spent more time running his madrassah until his secreetary rubbed him out in a jealous rage. Both branches sponsor branches of the Taliban, though with plausible deniability...
(JUI-F) Senator Ghafoor Haideri opposed the bill, saying that complicated pregnancies were not tied to age but poor healthcare. He argued that Islam allows marriage after puberty and recommended that the bill be sent to the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) before being discussed in the Senate.

"We are not promoting western culture, this is wrong," Rehman countered, saying that the bill stated that any person younger than 18 should be considered a child and be prohibited to enter marriage.

Jamaat-e-Islami
...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...
(JI) Senator Mushtaq Ahmad seconded Haideri's suggestion to send the bill to CII, saying that setting an age limit for marriage would be "against the Shariat".

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri said that "there is no age limit for marriage in Islam", reminding the House that a similar bill had once already been deemed "against the Sharia" by the CII .

To this, PPP Senator Raza Rabbani said that referring the bill to the CII would be "akin to sending it into cold storage".

Rehman, meanwhile, pointed out that the bill had been endorsed unanimously by the Senate Standing Committee on Human Rights. Haideri, however, raised objections over the committee, saying that his party had not been extended an invitation to join.

Subsequently, the bill was passed by the Senate and now awaits a debate in the National Assembly.

US Navy says IRGC spy footage is ‘years old’
[ALMASDARNEWS] US Navy spokesperson Chloe Morgan told AFP that the video of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, recently released by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, "appears to be several years old" and was probably filmed during the ship’s last visit to the Gulf.

The video in question shows an Iranian drone taking off from an air base and then shows the deck of the US carrier in detail, highlighting the aircraft on board. It also showed an accompanying US military vessel. Tasnim News Agency stated that the video was released by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and claimed that it was shot in the Persian Gulf.

The Nimitz-class nuclear-powered carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower was last seen in the Gulf in 2016. Back then, Iran released a video of the USS Harry S. Truman carrier, allegedly also filmed by a drone.

The publication took place days after the Iranian parliament on 23 April designated CENTCOM a terrorist organization and imposed sanctions against Washington, which Tehran accused of pursuing "hostile policies" against the country. The decision came in response to a similar move by the US, which designated Tehran’s IRGC a terrorist organization on 15 April.

Bilateral relations between the US and Iran have been spiralling downwards since Washington withdrew from the Iranian nuclear deal on 8 May 2018 and imposed harsh sanctions against the country’s economy half a year later.

Tehran and other signatories to the deal slammed the US decision and pledged to continue adhering to the agreement’s provisions.

Iran inflation could reach 40 percent this year as economy shrinks further: IMF
[DAWN] Iran's economy is expected to shrink for the second consecutive year and inflation could reach 40 per cent, an International Monetary Fund bigwig said, as the country copes with the impact of tighter sanctions imposed by the United States.

Washington, which re-imposed sanctions against Iran's oil exports last November, this month demanded buyers of Iranian oil to stop purchases by May or face sanctions, ending six months of waivers which allowed Irans eight biggest buyers to continue importing limited volumes.

Irans economy shrank by 3.9 per cent last year, according to IMF estimates, and is expected to shrink by 6 per cent in 2019, Jihad Azour, director of the IMF's Middle East and Central Asia department, told Rooters adding, however, that the projection preceded the latest elimination of waivers.

About the Baghdadi Video
[Twitter]

First time Baghdadi is seen since the Mosul mosque sermon in July, 2014.
Al-Baghdadi officially accepts the bayah of Burkina Faso franchise. cc @Jasminechic00
Baghdadi had been badly injured in an air strike in 2015. Photo suggests he’s fully recovered.

Baghdadi also talks about Sudan and al-Bashir.
Al-Baghdadi has officially accepted the bid of Sri Lanka fighters. This basically means that NTJ = IS franchise in Sri Lanka.
Baghdadi also accepted the pledge of Mali franchise.
Some parts of the video are missing and instead there is only audio, indicating that they may have been added later.

ISIS chief Baghdadi makes first video appearance since 2014
More on this story from yesterday. A few stills from the 18 minute video can be seen at the link. I am now as curious about Mr. Baghdadi’s monthly reports as I once was about Yasser Arafat's red binder.
[Rudaw] Video footage purportedly showing His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...the head of ISIS, or what remains of it, and a veteran of the Abu Graib jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us. So far he has been killed at least four times, though not yet by a stake through the heart...
, leader of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) group, emerged on jihadist social media platforms on Monday, his first public appearance in five years.

Sports Illustrated features first burkini girl
[BBC] A Somali-American supermodel has become the first Muslim model to appear in Sports Illustrated wearing a burkini.

Halima Aden is featured in its annual swimsuit issue in the swimwear which covers the entire body except the face, hands and feet.

"Young girls who wear a hijab should have women they look up to in any and every industry," she told the BBC.

Halima Aden grew up in a Kenyan refugee camp, moved to the US aged seven and began wearing the hijab shortly after.

"We are now seeing politicians, business women, television reporters, and other successful hijabi women in visible roles and that is the message we need to be sending," she said.

"The response has been incredible and I'm so honoured that Sports Illustrated has taken the step to showcase the beauty that modestly dressed women possess."
