[IsraelTimes] Lufthansa has resumed flying to Cairo following a one-day suspension due to safety concerns.
The German airline’s website shows LH582 took off from Frankfurt after an almost two-hour delay and was expected to arrive in Egypt’s capital later Sunday.
On Saturday, British Airways announced the suspension of its flights to and from Cairo for seven days for unspecified reasons related to security.
British Airways attributed its cancellations to what it called its constant review of security arrangements at all airports, calling them "a precaution to allow for further assessment." Lufthansa said it was suspending its flights as a precaution, mentioning "safety" but not "security" as its concern.
Company spokespeople would not elaborate on what motivated the suspensions.

[BREITBART] Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) introduced a resolution Thursday that would label Antifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... a "domestic terrorist organization."
"Whereas members of Antifa, because they believe that free speech is equivalent to violence, have used threats of violence in the pursuit of suppressing opposing political ideologies," the resolution states.
The resolution continues:
Whereas Antifa represents opposition to the democratic ideals of peaceful assembly and free speech for all; Whereas members of Antifa have physically assaulted journalists and other individuals during protests and riots in Berkeley, Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,; Whereas in February of 2018, journalist Andy Ngo was intimidated and threatened with violence by protestors affiliated with Antifa.
Cruz wrote on Twitter Thursday that the group is a "terrorist organization composed of hateful, intolerant turbans who pursue their extreme agenda through aggressive violence."
Cassidy echoed his colleague’s statements in a blurb Thursday.
"Antifa are terrorists, violent masked bullies who ’fight fascism ...a political system developed in Italy, symbolized by the Roman fasces -- thin reeds, each flimsy in itself but unbreakable when bound into a bundle. Its distinguishing philosophical feature is the Corporate State. The word is nowadays thrown around by all sorts of people who have no idea what they're talking about... ’ with actual fascism, protected by Liberal privilege," he said. "Bullies get their way until someone says no. Elected officials must have courage, not cowardice, to prevent terror."
The resolution also specifically mentions the attack on journalist Andy Ngo in Portland, Oregon, in June.
"Whereas on June 29, 2019, while covering demonstrations in Portland, Oregon, journalist Andy Ngo was physically attacked by protestors affiliated with Antifa," the resolution states.
However, a lie repeated often enough remains a lie... there is currently no crime labeled "domestic terrorism" but the designation does allow law enforcement to investigate a suspect’s associates and affiliations, the Hill reports.
Critics argue that since Antifa does not have a formal organizational structure, labeling a group "domestic terrorists" could be the beginning of "overly broad" enforcement.

The fog of war is thick in this one, dear Reader. Usually the fog clears quickly, but not this time, for some reason.
[Jpost] On Friday, a drone attacked Iraqi Security Forces that were deployed 180 km. north of Baghdad, near the city of Tuz Khurmatu. Initially reported as an attack on Iranian-allied forces, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the mysterious drone incident is still being investigated and it is not clear where it came from or who carried out the attack that left several maimed.
What we know is that something happened.

The US-led anti-ISIS coalition put out a statement on July 19 saying they were aware of reports "of an attack against the Iranians and a Popular Mobilization Force unit in Salah a-Din [governorate]. Coalition Forces were not involved, and we have no further information at this time." The coalition responded because of rumors circulating on social media and in Iraq seeking to blame the US for the incident.
Goodness. Why would Iraqi authorities feel such a strong need to blame the Yanks?

[NYPOST] An audio recording released Sunday captured the dramatic moments as a British naval officer warned Iranian military forces against seizing a UK-flagged oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, an incident that further roiled tense relations between Europe ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... , the US and the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
An officer with Iranian Revolutionary Guard told the Stena Impero tanker that "If you obey, you’ll be safe" and demanded it change course last Friday, according to an audio recording released Sunday by maritime security group Dryad Global.
"Alter your course to 360 degrees immediately, over," the Iranian officer said.
A British naval officer aboard the HMS Montrose, a frigate that was patrolling in the area around the strait, warns the Iranian forces of the consequences of their actions.
"Please confirm that you are not intending to violate international law by unlawfully attempting to board," the Brit said, also telling the tanker that it must be able to proceed unimpeded in the international waterway.
"Sir, I reiterate that as you are conducting transit passage in a recognized international strait, under international law your passage must not be impaired, intruded, obstructed or hampered," the British officer said.
The Iranian patrol boat responds by saying it wants to stop the tanker for a security inspection.
"No challenge is intended, no challenge is intended. I want to inspect the ship for security reasons," the officer said.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard released video on Saturday showing commandos carrying machine guns and wearing face masks rappelling from a helicopter to the deck of the Stena Impero.
UK officials said the HMS Montrose was about an hour away from tanker ‐ too far to intervene.
Iran said commandeering the ship was in retaliation for Britannia’s seizure of an Iranian tanker off the coast of Gibraltar on July 4.
