St. Paul Police Injured After BLM Attacks Cops With Rocks, Rebar, Bottles, Fireworks, Molotov Cocktails
[GP] Several police officers have been injured by Black Lives Matter protesters who took over the I-94 freeway in St. Paul, Minnesota Saturday night over the deadly police shooting of Philando Castile, attacking police officers who tried to clear the road by throwing chunks of concrete, rebar, rocks, bottles, fireworks and Molotov Cocktails. The attacks have gone on for three hours.

Facebook offender in the dock: FIA sees solution in cyber crime law
[DAWN] The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) recently brought Raja Ubaidur Rehman back from Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
through Interpol.

Rehman had allegedly uploaded objectionable pictures of his former wife on Facebook after creating her fake ID.

’AN’, a working woman, told the FIA Lahore Cyber Crime Wing that she got divorce from Rehman last year. Rehman before leaving for Saudi Arabia for work posted her objectionable/obscene pictures after creating her fake ID on Facebook in order to "create hurdles in her second marriage". AN’s suitor left her after her obscene pictures surfaced.

Acting on her complaint, the FIA investigated the matter and found the charges against Rehman "true". On FIA’s request, Interpol enjugged
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
Rehman who was working in Saudi Arabia as driver and handed him over to it. The FIA charged Ubaidur Rehman under Section 36 of the Electronic Transaction Ordinance (privacy of information or illegal access to an information system). Under the law he may face imprisonment up to seven years if proved guilty. Rehman has been sent to jail on judicial remand.

There has been at least 50pc increase in Facebook-related complaints filed in the FIA this year compared to 2015.

"Although we have taken up the complaint of the woman in question, in the absence of relevant law the agency faces problems to get the suspect convicted," FIA Lahore Cyber Crime Wing head Shahid Hasan told Dawn.

A bit more on the cop shooting in Falcon Heights, Minnesota
[The Last Refuge] The Falcon Heights, Minnesota police shooting of Philando Castile is based around an entirely false narrative. Castile and Ms. Diamond Reynolds (Facebook video uploader) were pulled over by police because Castile matched a BOLO Alert for an armed robbery suspect from four days prior.

Unfortunately, the false statements in the video ‐ which have gone viral, and are being pushed by the mainstream media - have created a backlash against police officers.

Saint Anthony, MN, Police Officers Jeronimo Yanez and Joseph Kauser pulled over Mr. Castile and Ms. Reynolds because the driver, Philando Castile, matched the suspect profile in an armed robbery which occurred on July 2nd, at a convenience store, only a few blocks from where their car was pulled over.

The armed robbery occurred on July 2nd 7:30pm (Sat). The CCTV images were given to media and LEO by detectives on July 5th (Tuesday). A BOLO (Be On Look Out) alert was issued the same day, Tuesday July 5th. Philando Castile was pulled over on July 6th.

From the radio dispatch of Officer Jeronimo Yanez:

"I’m going to stop a car. I’m going to check IDs. I have reason to pull it over."

"The two occupants just look like people that were involved in a robbery. The driver looks more like one of our suspects, just ’cause of the wide set nose."

A minute and a half later, the recording captures the first report that there was a shooting. (link)
Be advised, this story is 'single source' and unconfirmed.
Stacy McCain provides significant depth and followup here. And the UK Daily Mail, of course, does the investigative reporting that American reporters won't do.
Gateway Pundit picks up story.

#3  he also apparently didn't have a CCW permit (only his girlfriend said that after the fact) and photos appear to show him with a gun on his left thigh, not in a holster (another lie). He had 52 moving violations
Posted by: Frank G || 07/10/2016 7:47 Comments || Top||

#4  Perspective - an officer responding to a BOLO for an armed robbery suspect matching the description of Mr. Castile observes a pistol in Castile's lap...of course the officer is going to pull his service weapon...and a mess...an armed encounter ensues. Unlike the BLM agitprop narrative, this officer wasn't just out looking for black folks with tail lights out to execute for no good reason.

The President and the media's rush to judgement and agitation in these situations make them culpable for the deaths that follow.

We await the rest of the story to determine whether this was a good shoot or tragedy.

#6  It still hasn't been confirmed if Castile did in fact possess a CCW permit. I have personally doubted the claim. Any legitimate CCW training will dedicate considerable time instructing the protocol as what to do and what NOT to do in those situations. First, don't blurt out "I have a gun". Simply hand over your permit along with your ID and wait for instructions. Finally, and this is the important part, once LE has established you indeed have a gun -keep your hands visable. Based on the video and comments from the passenger Castile failed to follow those simple steps.
Posted by: DepotGuy || 07/10/2016 11:28 Comments || Top||

#7  The Sheriff of that County said he never applied for one. Yesterday's news said he had 52 moving violations cited. I doubt any LEO would issue to someone with that kind of disregard for laws?
Posted by: Frank G || 07/10/2016 12:02 Comments || Top||

#8  Unconfirmed report that while Ramsey County didn't issue his permit, neighboring Robbinsdale did.

More info at Snopes, including a security tape image of the robber, who bears a striking resemblance to Castile.

Question, if you have a MN CCP, can you carry a handgun in your lap while driving?

Fellow sure had a long, repeated history of driving after revocation - I'm surprised he wasn't finally jailed for that.
Posted by: KBK || 07/10/2016 13:56 Comments || Top||

#9  "First, don't blurt out "I have a gun". Simply hand over your permit along with your ID and wait for instructions."

Respectfully disagree. If the cop see a gun BEFORE you tell him - things are about to go sideways. You can't yell "look at my CCW" faster than the officer can draw down on you. The officer won't hear what you are saying - tunnel vision/auditory occlusion kicks in. My COA - interior light on, hands on steering wheel, eye contact w/officer " I have a handgun in the car located...". Wait for additional instructions.

Plan to teach Quran with translation may hit snags
[DAWN] An NGO worker from an organization working in the education sector supported the idea of teaching the Holy Koran at informal education centres, saying it would help reduce the burden on parents who would ordinarily have to hire a qari, or send their children to a madressah for this purpose.
Looks like a qari unemployment program.
"This will reduce the amount of political influence holy mans who teach the Holy Koran will be able to exert, as well as reducing fears that they are teaching something else along with the holy book, if the idea is adopted," the NGO representative said, on condition of anonymity.

He said that although there were several Hafiz-e-Koran (those who learn the Holy Koran by heart) in society, many of them had never even read the translation of the holy book in their life. "However,
a lie repeated often enough remains a lie...
we still respect them as if they are learned people," he deplored.
If they knew what it actually meant, instead of just memorizing a long bunch of magickal words, they might discover it doesn't make any sense. Can't have that.
The draft bill, along with the sets of books that will be used as part of the curriculum, have been submitted by Mr Rehman before the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) for review.

The CII has distributed the books to its members and various office-bearers of its research cell. However,
a good lie finds more believers than a bad truth...
it seems that some holy mans are apprehensive about the move, fearing that it may threaten their monopoly over teaching of the Holy Koran.

There are even reports that some members have already begun raising concerns within days of receiving the set of books for the proposed curriculum.

"We are looking at the Urdu translation that has been written in the 12 books thoroughly and carefully," said a CII official. However,
nothing needs reforming like other people's bad habits...
he added that certain members had expressed dissatisfaction over the idea on the grounds that it will not be beneficial for students.

"This is just like reading a medical college textbook over the Internet -- one cannot become a doctor this way," the official said, adding that the accent and disciplinary strictness of a teacher cannot be replicated by just any Urdu teacher at the primary or secondary level. "This idea will fail," he concluded.

In another incident of murder on Thursday, motorcyclists rubbed out two brothers hailing from North Wazoo Agency.

Sources said that the two brothers were going to Dera city to buy medicines when they were targeted. Police have registered cases against unidentified attackers and launched investigation.

e-Courts to make justice more accessible
[DAWN] Last month, an accountability court was converted into a full-fledged eCourt. This new eCourt will hopefully allow for the secure trials of hardened criminals, ensure the protection of witnesses and the speedy disposal of cases, legal experts say.

In just one month, the accountability court has disposed of a Modaraba case in 20 days, recording the testimonies of 23 witnesses via Skype.

An Electronic Court ‐ or eCourt ‐ is any location where legal matters are decided, provided a judge is present, which has a developed technical infrastructure. This infrastructure could be anything that allows the court proceedings to function more smoothly, such as presenting evidence, filing judicial records or hearing testimony remotely.

For example, on one day, an accountability judge was scheduled to record the statements of seven witnesses. Witnesses travelled to the courtroom from Abbottabad
... A pleasant city located only 30 convenient miles from Islamabad. The city is noted for its nice weather and good schools. It is the site of Pakistain's military academy, which was within comfortable walking distance of the residence of the late Osama bin Laden....
, Taunsa Sharif and other remote areas, but police expressed their inability to produce the accused.

Women or property?
[DAWN] THE tradition of swara is as ancient as Pakhtunwali. Still practised in pockets of Afghanistan and Pakistain, the custom entails handing over a girl in marriage to an aggrieved family as compensation to settle a feud. The nuptials are conducted sans pomp and show. Usually one girl is offered but the number can go up to three.

In Persian, swara means a woman riding a horse. Another source for the word comes from Arabic, in which ’uswara’ means bangles, a word that symbolises women. As per Pakhtun culture, swara is a woman on horseback, belonging to the guilty party (either his sister or daughter) who travels to the enemy camp accompanied only by women of her own family, thereby placing herself at the latter’s mercy. The gesture is symbolic of asking for a truce.

According to the original Pakhtun tradition, the woman was treated honourably and sent back on the same horse with gifts and a mantle, ie a scarf signifying that her honour remained intact.

Dedicated PIA aircraft to carry PM, camp office back to Pakistan
[DAWN] A dedicated Pakistain International Airlines (PIA) aircraft has been deputed to transport Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf...
and his London camp office back to Pakistain, PIA front man Danyal Gilani said on Friday.

"Due to the prime minister's health issues, PM Office had partly been shifted to London where a camp office had been set up," said a statement issued by the airline.

"Now that the PM has recovered after his surgery and is allowed to travel, the whole camp office has to be shifted back to Pakistain. On PIA's regular flights, so many seats were not available, due to which the only option was to depute a dedicated aircraft," the statement said.

The statement did not, however, mention a date for the PM's return to Pakistain.

Shahbaz Sharif
...Pak dynastic politician, brother of PM Nawaz Sharif, chief minister of Punjab...
flew to London earlier this week for Eid holidays and will likely return to Pakistain with the premier.

Local media reports claim the prime minister is scheduled to return to Pakistain on July 9 after doctors gave him the go-ahead.

Science & Technology
Human error to blame for arresting cable break
Navy investigators blamed human error and an improperly programmed valve for a March incident in which eight sailors were injured when a cable used to catch a landing E-2C Hawkeye snapped on the flight deck of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower.

According to a Navy report obtained by The Virginian-Pilot through a Freedom of Information Act request, maintenance personnel missed at least one and possibly two “critical steps” while working on an engine that helps operate the carrier flight deck’s cables, which are called cross deck pendants, after a previous landing. As a result, the engine failed to slow the aircraft, instead causing the pendant to break “at or near” the Hawkeye’s tailhook.

The Navy did not find evidence of willful dereliction of duty or negligence by the maintenance workers. The report said that while there was a “lack of procedural compliance” while troubleshooting an error code from a previous arrested landing, “the sailors involved reasonably believed they had properly and conscientiously completed the complicated procedure.”

The Eisenhower Strike Group could not be reached for additional comment Friday. The strike group left Norfolk Naval Station on June 1 for a seven-month deployment and on June 28 began flying combat sorties in support of Operation Inherent Resolve from the eastern Mediterranean Sea, the Navy has said.
Video of the incident at the link. One helluva pilot to recover from the cable breaking.

Democratic National Committee Breached by Russian Hackers
Given the sorry state of Democratic regard for even the most fundamental notions of computer network security, I'm surprised the Russians don't run the DNC networks themselves...
The Democratic National Committee's computer network was breached by Russian government cyber operations that have had access to the group's communications and databases since at least last summer, NBC News confirms.

The sophisticated Russian groups, which have previously targeted the White House, the State Department and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, specifically concentrated on the DNC's research units and had access to all of the committee's internal communications, including chat and email applications.

The DNC's opposition research unit, which sources indicate was specifically targeted by the hackers, is tasked with compiling unflattering information on Republican opponents -- particularly presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump -- to potentially use against them in the course of a political campaign.

DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz said on MSNBC's MTP Daily that the problem was addressed "aggressively and swiftly."
