[RealRawNews] On Tuesday morning at approximately 3:00 am, a sniper’s bullet struck a panoramic casement window on the east wall of Trump’s bedroom at his Mar-a-Lago estate. So unless someone here who knows them corrects my assumption, I have to assume this is a fake — hopefully not done maliciously by the website to rile up the Deplorables.
Not linking to the original news source is also a hint, as is an anonymous source within the inner circle. We ream MSM articles all the time for the latter.

[Rasmussen Reports] Thirty-five percent (35%) of Likely U.S. Voters think the country is heading in the right direction, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey for the week ending January 28, 2021. 35% in the right direction suggests...well, you do the math!
Rasmussen was the only public polling company to call the 2016 election correctly, as I recall — although one can assume that the Trump campaign’s private pollsters got it right, too. He called 2020 for Donald Trump and the Republicans, too — an interesting datum.
This week’s finding jumped up eleven points points from a week ago. This is the highest percentage since November 2020. A week ago, some respondents were probably looking back. The 35% figure is after the inauguration and correlates closely with the four-year average of those who strongly disapproved of (hated) Trump.

Rasmussen asks the same question every day: do you strongly approve, approve, disapprove, or strongly disapprove? No room for spin.
Over four years, both Trump approval trends were slightly upwards. The "disapprove" trended down. Only the "strongly disapprove" was dead flat, at about 35%. I call that "hard core".

[AP] WASHINGTON Chairman President Joe Biden on Monday threatened new sanctions on Myanmar after its military staged a coup and arrested the civilian leaders of its government, including Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi.
Biden assailed the country's army for the coup, calling it a "direct assault on the country’s transition to democracy and rule of law." The coup in Myanmar, also known as Burma, has also been roundly condemned internationally.
"The United States removed sanctions on Burma over the past decade based on progress toward democracy," Biden said in a statement. "The reversal of that progress will necessitate an immediate review of our sanction laws and authorities, followed by appropriate action. The United States will stand up for democracy wherever it is under attack."
Myanmar has been a Western democracy promotion project for decades and had been a symbol of some success. But over the past several years, there have been growing concerns about its backsliding into authoritarianism. Disappointment with Suu Kyi, the former opposition leader, has run high, especially over her resistance to reining in repression of Rohingya Muslims in the country's west.
Myanmar had been emerging from decades of strict military rule and international isolation that began in 1962, and Monday's events were a shocking fall from power for Suu Kyi, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991 for her work promoting democracy and human rights.
She had lived under house arrest for years as she tried to push her country toward democracy and then became its de facto leader after her National League for Democracy won elections in 2015.

[Haaretz] Students at the Bogazici University in Istanbul began their protests nearly a month ago, saying the appointment of Melih Bulu as rector was undemocratic.
Ottoman Turkish police on Monday detained 159 people over protests in Istanbul against President Tayyip Erdogan's appointment of a new rector at one of the country's top universities, the Istanbul Governor's office said.
Students at the Bogazici University in Istanbul began their protests nearly a month ago, saying the appointment of Melih Bulu as rector was undemocratic. Teachers at Bogazici have also protested Bulu's swearing-in.
Protesters chanting slogans such as "Police, get out" and "Universities are ours" clashed and scuffled with the police on Monday.
In a statement, the Istanbul Governor's office said 159 people had later been detained for "not ending the demonstrations in front of the Bogazici University despite warnings," and added that an investigation had been launched.
Earlier, more than 100 police gathered at the main entrance of the campus. They allowed university students to enter, checking their IDs, but told others to leave, including several politicians, mainly from the pro-Kurdish Peoples Democratic Party ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy,white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Bulu, who has applied to be a candidate for Erdogan's ruling AK Party in a 2015 parliamentary election, was the first rector chosen from outside a university since a military coup in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...Qatar's satrapy in Asia Minor... in 1980, Bogazici faculty members have said.
The protesters have also been demanding the release of four people who were tossed into the calaboose after images were shared on social media of them laying a picture on the ground that mixed sacred Islamic iconography with symbols supporting LGBT issues.

[PJ] Reuters is reporting that dozens of Republican officials from the Bush administration are leaving the Republican Party, letting their registrations lapse or registering as independents. According to the interviews, they blame their abandonment on the Capitol riot and on current congressional leaders not abandoning President Trump’s claims of voter fraud. It appears unlikely that, with 45 Republicans voting to declare the recent impeachment unconstitutional, the Senate will be able to convict Trump.
One quote from the Reuters article gives the impression that something more going on.
"The Republican Party as I knew it no longer exists. I’d call it the cult of Trump," said Jimmy Gurulé, who was Undersecretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence in the Bush administration.
Indeed, the Republican Party today, and many of the 74 million people who voted for President Trump, do not look like the party or the voters that elected George W. Bush. During the 2016 primary, Trump played to issues the Republican establishment had been weak on, and he won. He entered the presidency and made good on his promises.
If the GOP establishment had been listening after the birth of the TEA Party, they would have seen this coming. The base was frustrated, and the brilliant coalition William F. Common cold is a GROUP of single strand RNA viruses that frequently mutate. So need multiple specific proteins, and the need to change frequently. That’s a lot of effort. And the common cold does not generally hospitalize and kill people, unlike SARS/MERS/COVID19. Apples and oranges, the error/fallacy of ignoring context.

@ #5 - My post was partly in jest. Of course the friggen common cold doesn't generally kill people or put them into the hospital. But are we going to shut the world economy down for each and every RNA virus in the future? The bar's been set. And Trump is no longer president, so we'll see.

Useful, but we have seen this before. Lets hold it for a year and see. I do remember the same type of, you don't need to worry, literature that came out over the Anthrax vaccine. First it was its safe and it went through full trials. Then it was your reactions have nothing to do with it. Then it was, well, there was a bad lot. Then it was oh, ya it does screw you up. So while I appreciate it, any vaccine rushed to market is suspect. When they explain the recent uptick of deaths to old folks taking it, but its safe, without blaming preexisting conditions it might be ok for use. Sorry, I'll take my chances with a virus that has a better than 99% survival rate.

I have recv'd both doses of the Moderna vax with mild aches/pains/chills after second dose.
My better half has recv'd her first dose of the Pfizer with no problem. Will report back after she receives second.
The virus damn near killed my parents four weeks ago...it is no joke.

They may well try, at least in Democrat-run communities and states. But as the numbers of hospitalizations and deaths continue to fall significantly after many of the most susceptible have chosen to be vaccinated (23 million in the U.S. alone have received at least the first shot as of the last time I looked)— coupled with the drive to publicize the improved numbers to make President Biden look so much better than OrangeManBad, who made it all happen — the pressure to enforce will no longer be accepted. Already in California and elsewhere businesses are refusing to remain closed and refusing to enforce distancing requirements, and noncompliance will continue to spread. The tipping point is coming.

Most Americans don't look past the headlines, it's actually a Zinc Ionophore. Yup, a zinc with a fat soluble additive. Just how could they tell you to take Zinc and Quercetin, another Zinc Ionophore, and say HCL does not work. The fraud runs amok here and they want me to trust them.

^p.s. Coronaviruses are different from influenza viruses. Influenza has, what amounts to, genetic recombination. Briefly: influenza genome is comprised of 8 molecules. So, if you have a cell infected by two different strains the probability of unmixed offspring is 1/2^8x2. So, any beneficial (to the virus) mutation spreads much faster than in coronaviruses.
