-Lurid Crime Tales-
The Role of Human Intelligence in Spygate- Part 1
[RedState] HUMINT is spyspeak for "human intelligence," or obtaining information from human sources. For the CIA, it is the cultivation of human sources in the higher echelons of a targeted government or military. Intelligence agents are always on the lookout for human sources; it is called "talent spotting." Then they are screened and vetted once identified. Part of that process depends on if the person can provide the required information in the first place, what motivates them (sex?, money?, fame? ideology?, prestige?), their habits so they know how to avoid detection, and most important, their utility. In law enforcement, these people are called Confidential Human Sources, or CHS for short.

In this saga, those identified as a CHS are more like covert informants, in one respect, and possibly like agent provocateurs in other respects. We know the names of at least two of them- Stefan Halper and Joseph Mifsud- and the given name of a third, Azra Turk. Turk was used in a classic intelligence ploy known as the "honey pot." In this method, usually a pretty, young woman is dangled in front of the target so that they can later extract information from the target through "pillow talk," or sometimes by using a sexual liaison for blackmail. We know the targets of these plots within the Trump campaign: co-chairman of the national campaign, Sam Clovis, low-level foreign policy advisers George Papadopolous and Carter Page, and Michael Flynn, a key national security adviser to Trump.

At some point, we know the IC and FBI/DOJ, for whatever reason, began to suspect that the Trump campaign was working with Russian operatives for whatever reason. We know at this point that there was tremendous electronic intelligence being gathered through contractor access to the NSA databases using "about query" searches and that there was an unusually high incidence from December 2015 to May 2016. We know that NSA director Mike Rogers cut off contractor access to the query database. It would make logical sense to use human intelligence sources to fill the gap so that a case could be built which can then be taken to the FISA court in order to legally continue what someone or someones initially did illegally.

The official FBI investigation into the Trump campaign and Russia did not begin until July 31, 2016 with the official explanation being the Downer conversation with Papadopolous in a London bar. But there likely was electronic surveillance of the Trump campaign prior to this and that it was likely being done by private contractors accessing the NSA database.

Officials within the IC and FBI/DOJ surely knew that Mike Rogers was poking his nose into these unauthorized queries sometime in 2015 which explains a suspicious text between Lisa Page and Peter Strozk in December 2015. In that text, Strozk asks, "You get all our oconus lures approved?" She responds "no" because there is a bigger policy issue and she would explain later.

What does "oconus" mean? "Oconus" is short for "outside the continental United States." A "lure" is a common term in counterintelligence parlance referring to the use of people as bait to snag a potential "double agent," whether they know it or not. If this refers to the Trump campaign, then this destroys the official narrative for two reasons. First, it pushes the timeline back to at least December 28, 2015- the date of the text. Second, a counterintelligence lure is strictly an offensive weapon in the arsenal meaning that someone is intentionally inserted into something without any predicate for doing so other than the simple fact of doing so, or to "frame" someone.

This brings us to our first CHS- Stefan Halper. Reporting by the New York Times and Washington Post never mentioned him by name, but it did not take much work to figure out who he was by the descriptions given in their articles. He is an interesting subject with one foot in Republican political circles and another in the IC.

Might also explain Congressman Rogers sudden departure, not only as head of the HPSCI, but the United States Congress as well. The pieces, they will eventually start falling together.

Critical Race Theory robs & rapes reality
[WND] Inciting racial hatred against whites is all in a day's work on CNN. It devolves into a more festive affair when a celebrity like D.L. Hughley joins the network's conga-line of cretins.

In a July segment, the comedian, author of "Surrender, White People," regaled those CNN viewers with a masochistic mindset, by comparing "racism" to COVID19.

Whitey, belched Hughley — who used to be witty and is now a drag — can be an asymptomatic carrier of racism. Just because you haven't done anything racist, doesn't mean you aren't racist.

Pay no attention to the COVID-race comparison. It's the left's lowbrow idea of an intellectual quip. Be mindful, however, of the "guilty if you do, guilty if you don't" pop-jurisprudence. Collectively convicting an entire racial group for metaphysical crimes is the cornerstone of the Critical Race Theory (CRT) creed.

Flouting Western judicial philosophy, Critical Race Theory says you are a racist without having committed racism, which is like being a murderer, robber or rapist without having murdered, robbed or raped.

‘It is CRITICAL' – Ted Cruz explains why Trump MUST nominate and Senate MUST confirm RBG successor BEFORE election
Senator Ted Cruz appeared on Hannity tonight and made the DEFINITIVE case for why Trump should nominate a successor to Ruth Bader Ginsburg right away, why the Senate should take up the debate right away, and why the nominee should be confirmed BEFORE election day.

And even why Democrats should agree.

To summarize, Cruz pointed out the devastating impact on American society should there be a 4-4 court during what will certainly be a contested election.

"I believe that the president should next week, nominate a successor to the court. And I think it is critical that the Senate takes up and confirms that successor before election day," said Cruz. "There’s going to be enormous pressure from the media, there’s going to be enormous pressure from Democrats to delay filling this vacancy, but this election, this nomination is why Donald Trump was elected."

Watch, and the relevant portions of the appearance are transcribed below.

More from Cruz on the show.

"I believe that the president should next week, nominate a successor to the court. And I think it is critical that the Senate takes up and confirms that successor before election day. There’s going to be enormous pressure from the media, there’s going to be enormous pressure from Democrats to delay filling this vacancy, but this election, this nomination is why Donald Trump was elected. This confirmation is why the voters voted for a Republican majority in the Senate.

"And I’ll tell you one reason in particular, Sean, why I think it is tremendously important that not only does the nomination happen next week but that the confirmation before election day. Because Democrats and Joe Biden have made clear, they intend to challenge this election, they intend to fight the legitimacy of the election — as you know, Hillary Clinton has told Joe Biden ’under no circumstances should you concede. You should challenge this election’ — and we cannot have election day come and go with a 4-4 court.

"A 4-4 court, equally divided cannot decide anything. And I think we risk a constitutional crisis if we do not have a nine justice supreme court particularly when there’s such a risk of a contested litigation and a contested election.

"Twenty years ago, I was part of the legal team that litigated Bush v Gore and went to the Supreme Court. 37 days the country did not know who the president was going to be, and if we had a 4-4 court it could have dragged on for weeks and months.

"So I think we have a responsibility. A responsibility to do our job. The president should nominate a principled constitutionalist with a proven record, and the senate is going to take a lot of work to get it done before election day but I think we should do our job and protect the country from the constitutional crisis that could result otherwise."

As Hannity said when Cruz was finished making his case, it was "very well-argued as usual."

He’s right. Anything else is just messing with the fate of our nation.

Also I have a hard time believing the tale that Ginsburg told her grand daughter that it was her wish that her replacement would be selected after the next President is installed

Planned Parenthood: 'The fate of our rights' depends on Ginsburg replacement
[The Hill] Planned Parenthood sounded the alarm Friday night after the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, noting that abortion rights could be decided on the high court based on her replacement.

"Tonight we honor that legacy, but tomorrow, we’re going to need to get to work to preserve the ideals she spent her life’s work defending. Because this is not an understatement: The fate of our rights, our freedoms, our health care, our bodies, our lives, and our country depend on what happens over the coming months," Planned Parenthood President Alexis McGill Johnson said in a statement.

McGill said the Senate should not consider a replacement for Ginsburg in an election year, indicating that a potential pick from President Trump would likely be opposed to the same abortion rights that Ginsburg championed on the high court.

#10  At least politically, the logical nomination is Amy Barrett, a Scalia protege. The only personal attack the Dems could mount on her appeals court nomination was that she is Catholic -- which is now kind of awkward considering that Biden has been running around claiming to be Catholic (a pro-abortion Catholic, which I guess is sort of like an Air Force pilot who doesn't believe in flight.) Certes.

Note the background and specialty of this leading physician in Manhattan who was caught snatching an elderly neighbor's statue of Columbus this week as a way of striking a blow against white supremacy, or something like that.

"[Statue-snatcher Dr. Sean] Morrison’s attitude is all the more disturbing when you consider that he is a luminary of the palliative care industry, the Ellen and Howard Katz Chair of Mount Sinai’s Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine.

"He and his wife, Dr Diane Meier, 68, also a Mount Sinai specialist, each have received grants from billionaire George Soros’ Open Society Institute, which stands accused by pro-life group LifeTree, of promoting palliative care as “euthanasia by stealth,” by providing “comfort” instead of treatment to very ill or elderly patients."

Susan Rice Compares Trump to Mao Zedong
[Free Beacon] Former national security adviser Susan Rice on Thursday said President Donald Trump reminded her of the infamous Chinese dictator Mao Zedong.
Serial Liar sez....
Rice took exception to Trump’s reference to a "patriotic education" in a Wednesday speech

"I thought I was listening to Mao Zedong running communist China," Rice said.

Trump on Wednesday delivered a speech Rice was responding to a speech calling for a renewed patriotism to counter "left-wing indoctrination," including the 1619 Project, which is being taught in many public schools.

Mao, the founder of the People’s Republic of China and former chairman of the ruling Communist Party, was responsible for tens of millions of deaths in his project to remake all of Chinese society according to his Marxist vision. He is widely considered one of the most sinister dictators in world history.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Why the criticism of the Israel-UAE-Bahrain deal doesn't hold up
[JPOST] Here are some of the criticisms that have been leveled lately, and what is right or wrong about them:

This isn’t a peace treaty, because Israel and the UAE and Bahrain were never at war.

This has come up repeatedly from supposedly serious people who are knowledgeable about foreign policy issues. But it’s an extremely superficial argument.

FN 509 Midsize: Accurate, Flawlessly Reliable, and Made in U.S.A.
[Breitbart] The FN 509 Midsize is an accurate, flawlessly reliable 9mm pistol which is made in Columbia, South Carolina, by FN America.

The guns made by FN America come from strong pedigree in FN Herstal, S.A., a renowned military arms manufacturer known for firearms that are accurate, extremely durable, and get the job done under the harshest of combat conditions.

Thus the FN 509 Midsize was not born out of a vacuum, but is a pistol created for civilians after years of proving the FN name on battlefields and training grounds.

The 509 Midsize has a polymer frame and is similar in size to a Glock 19 or Sig Sauer P320, which means it is on the larger size of compact yet small enough to be comfortably concealed. It ships with 15-round magazines, giving you 15+1 rounds of 9mm self-defense ammunition for concealed carry.

The 509 Midsize also comes with high profile sights, allowing the shooter to aim through a RMR sight or see over a suppressor, should either be added to the gun.

We put a Sightmark Mini Shot M-SPEC Reflex sight on our 509 Midsize and target acquisition, and transitioning between targets, was a breeze.

The trigger on the 509 Midsize has a built in safety, designed to prohibit accidental discharge by blocking the depression of the trigger unless the pressure on the trigger is sourced in the lower front, where the shooter’s finger belongs. This accomplished via a two-piece trigger, that locks together as solid, flat front when depressed. Once the trigger is engaged the pull is clean and the break is crisp.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran['s] increasing arrogance as it thinks it defeated US sanctions
[JPost] - Iranian media believes that Iran has defeated the US on the issue of new sanctions at the UN and that therefore Iran will soon have more abilities to import and export weapons. Overall it is the symbolism that is important to Iran, its belief that a growing alliance with Russia and China could upend US policy globally.

Fars News and other Iranian media have run several articles boasting about Iran’s success at defeating US sanctions. Iran’s Javad Zarif also sounded pleased, arguing nothing will happen on September 20 or other days in which the US might try to push through new sanctions against Iran.

While the US seemed to indicate sanctions could return, the UK, France and Germany indicate that UN sanctions relief will continue.

The US wants to trigger "snap back" sanctions but Iran believes US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has not gotten support for this action. Iran’s Fars News says this is the last chance US President Donald Trump has before the US election in November. In a sense Iran is mocking Washington and hinting that it has no concern about what the US might do next.

Iran has been under a US maximum pressure pressure campaign since 2018. It has lashed out attacking oil tankers in May and June last year and attacking Saudi Arabia in September. It has also used proxies to attack the US in Iraq, sent weapons to the Houthis in Yemen and precision guided munitions to Hezbollah via Syria.

An Iranian nuclear facility at Natanz suffered some kind of sabotage in July and Iran has been concerned about this incident regarding its nuclear program.

Students on Why Trump Should Not Get Nobel Peace Prize
[Moonbattery] Every president tries mightily to advance peace in the Middle East because of the prestige it would impart. For decades, each of them has failed — until now. Trump brokered a peace agreement between Israel, United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain. More Arab countries could follow. Serbia and Kosovo have been at each other’s throats since the 1990s. Trump brokered a peace deal between them as well.

If Obama deserved to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize soon after taking office, despite not having accomplished anything other than getting elected, shouldn’t Trump get one too?

Campus Reform asks students and gets the predictable answer:

True enough, Trump does not deserve a Nobel Peace Prize. Competition for the prize is a popularity contest staged by the liberal elite, and Trump is not popular among liberals.

This exchange sums it up:

Q: Do you think he deserved it?
A: No.
Q: Do you know why he was nominated?
A: I don’t know.

It doesn’t matter why Trump was nominated. They don’t like him because it is politically correct not to like him. Therefore, he does not deserve a Nobel Peace Prize.

Students have to be careful to keep their minds closed, lest unauthorized thoughts infiltrate their heads. These renegade thoughts might then leak from their mouths, resulting in cancelation.
