[Townhall] The chairmen of the House Judiciary and House Oversight and Government Reform Committees on Saturday released former FBI Director James Comey's interview transcript. The interview in question took place on Friday.
Comey was subpoenaed to appear before the committees. They wanted to hear his testimony in relation to the probe into Hillary Clinton's email scandal and how he handled the beginning of the Russia probe.
Although Comey initially battled with the interview, he agreed to sit down with legislators under one condition: that transcripts of the conversation were made public within 24 hours.

Whether or not Comey remembers isn't going to make any difference if the case can be made. Many mafia bosses had memory problems and the case was made anyway.
[FOX] 'No evidence whatsoever of bias at the FBI.'
Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), the incoming chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said he will shut down the Republican-led investigation into the FBI and Justice Department's decision-making during the 2016 election.
Speaking to reporters after he stepped out of the committee's closed-door interview with former FBI Director James Comey on Friday, Nadler was asked if he plans to end the probe when he takes over as committee chair in January.
"Yes," Nadler said. "Because it's a waste of time to start with."
He expanded, "The entire purpose of this investigation is to cast aspersions on the real investigation, which is Mueller. There's no evidence whatsoever of bias at the FBI or any of this other nonsense they're talking about."

It's going to be huge fun when New York, Connecticut, Illinois and California go into federal receivership. I think "non-voting" status for their congresscritters will be a good condition of any bailout.

California and Illinois can revert back to territorials status (but 'we pay taxes', yeah and so do the critters in DC). NY and Conn were part of the original 13, thus never in territorial status.

Nadler's continuing the Dem cover-up? I'm thinking Trump has the keys to the castle and all will be revealed. The Clinton Foundation is first up next week with John Huber testifying before The Subcommittee on Government Operations chaired by Mark Meadows. I don't know whether this hearing is open or closed. Hearing on CF.

Truthful version of Nadless: Hurry up and shut these things down before the real law-breaking by our side is revealed.
[News & Obsever] RALEIGH - Newly elected Wake County Sheriff Gerald Baker said Friday that his office will no longer participate in a controversial immigration program.
For years Wake has been part of 287(g), which allows local law enforcement agencies to partner with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to identify and eventually deport people living in the country illegally who have been charged with a crime.
Baker announced the end of Wake’s participation at a news conference Friday afternoon.
"We serve a lot of communities," Baker said as he stood next to Uriel Rodriguez, a middle school student he met while campaigning. "We want to make it so that the Wake County Sheriff’s Office treats everybody the same and improves the quality of life for each and every person. It’s about humanity. It’s about just caring for people. That’s a large part of what this office will be doing, moving forward."

The employees of the local universities influence politics there a lot. My observation of the court systems there is that a lot of corruption exists, especially in the prosecutors offices.

I drive thru the Carolinas a lot. If it's not Asheville or the gentrified parts of Charlotte, it's mostly dogpatch. Columbia SC is as bad as Newark.

Durham is as crooked as the day is long - transplanted tech lefty Democrats in the Research Triangle Park and university progressives have taken over.
Trump should order the federal agencies to withhold federal funds.
[Townhall] Ever since the Clintons launched their "Evening With a Clinton" tour, things have hit the fan. They were struggling to get people to their shows so they were selling tickets for as low as $6.55 before the show began. Their new marketing plow ‐ more like last ditch effort ‐ at getting people to attend their event is by selling tickets on Groupon. Tickets on the Clintons' website go between $89 and $399. But, if you're looking for a real steal, Groupon has them for $35.
The 13-city tour is currently on hold for the holidays. It will reconvene in New York in mid-April before heading off to other large cities throughout the United States.
From The Daily Mail:
For their May 19 show at The Forum in Inglewood, California, ‐ which seats more than 17,000 ‐ tickets usually priced at $77 are now going for $35, with $120 tickets discounted to $50, and $175 seats down to $72.
Despite the site telling customers that 'tickets are selling fast!' with 'limited time remaining,' it appears that less than 450 discounted tickets have actually been sold
The Clintons reportedly sold 3,300 tickets in Toronto, despite the venue being able to accommodate 19,000.
