The Special Operations Corps in a statement said the Special Forces stormed the Taliban prison in Surkh Balagh Village located in Pasaband district.

The statement further added that the Special Forces rescued nine hostages during the same operation.

The Afghan Special Forces had earlier rescued nine people from a Taliban prison in Ghazni province.

This comes as the security situation in some districts of Ghor province has tanked during the recent months.

Talibs are active in remote and restive areas of the province and often conduct terrorist related activities.
