| Israel will sever ties with Arafat and launch widescale military operations in cities in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The decision was reached in a security cabinet meeting in Tel Aviv after Palestinian gunmen killed 10 Israelis in an ambush of a bus near Emmanuel.
