The Pak Jamaat-i-Islami has warned India to desist from any aggression against Pakistan saying that the entire nation will become an impregnable fortress for defence of the motherland. Addressing the annual meeting of JI's Ladies' Auxillary, secretary general of the party Syed Munawwar Hasan criticized the government for relying on the US rather than on the people. The JI leader referred to what he termed the inept policies of the government. He said President Pervez Musharraf should form a consensus interim government to tackle the situation, and hold free and fair elections for transfer of power to a democratically elected government.
