Authorities in Kabul said they had discovered a plot by al Qaeda and Taliban members to kill international peacekeepers with car bombs. Six cars in Kabul were rigged with booby-traps to be detonated near peacekeeper security patrols, said a spokesman for the international security force. The vehicles were placed under surveillance, Flight Lt. Tony Marshall, a spokesman for the security force, told reporters in Kabul on Monday. But no arrests have been made.
