A man hired by a pro-U.S. Afghan militia to guard a checkpoint near the Kandahar air base began shouting threats against American troops, then shot two Afghans to death before militiamen killed him. Police Chief Gen. Mohammed Akram said U.S.-allied militiamen confronted the man Tuesday morning at the checkpoint, apparently after he started making the threats. "I came for my target. You are sons of Americans. I want to kill them and you," Akram quoted him as saying, before the man began shooting. Afghan fighters returned fire, killing the man, who has not been identified. The fighters then hung his body from a post for two hours before it was removed by authorities.
Sometimes all you can do is shake your head and say, "Those bastards are all crazy." Wonder what he was smoking before he came to work? |
