| Indonesian police nab two over McDonald's blast |

| Police said on Saturday that they have arrested two possible suspects in the bombing of a McDonald's restaurant and a car dealership in central Indonesia, according to a news report. The explosion on Thursday night at a McDonald's in the South Sulawesi provincial capital of Makassar killed three people and injured two. About an hour later, a second explosion in Makassar tore through a car dealership owned by Indonesian Welfare Minister Jusuf Kalla, damaging four cars but causing no injuries. South Sulawesi Police Chief Brigadier-General Firman Gani told the private SCTV station on Saturday that two men have been arrested and are being questioned about the bombing. He said the two are possible suspects but he refused to release their names or say where or when they were detained. Police on Friday said that they had detained 15 people for questioning. The Indon coppers seem to be on a roll lately. Wonder if the court system will follow suit, or if the judges will stay bought? I'm wondering if this one might be crooks instead of terrorists, though, with the McDonald's blast a diversion from the politician's used car lot getting hit. |
