Tony Blair wrote this op-ed in the Monday edition of the Guardian. The money sentence:... since Saddam's regime is - now the Taliban has fallen - probably the most brutal, oppressive and dictatorial in the world, and its principal victims are the Iraqi people, it would be odd for anyone on the left to shed tears at his departure.The rest is the usual re-stating of the center-left manifesto for Britian. But Tony once again tries to educate the uneducable. |

#1 He's making the case for what was the Old Left, since the New left went leftward even more, leaving him relatively to the Right (or what he calls Center-Left). The problem with the New Left is that when they went Left, they left their brains behind... |
