The Mujahid Squad Police on Monday arrested four men who were planning an assassination at the Lahore High Court. The men had planned to kill a girl in the name of honour, to prevent her from appearing before the court to get married.
Married? The brazen hussy! | Duty officer Muhammad Murtaza said the police signaled a car on the Multan Road to stop for a routine check. The driver tried to escape, but the police gave chase and stopped the car. The police found two pistols, two rifles, one pump-action gun and about a hundred bullets in the car. The police arrested Azhar Jameel, Muhammad Akram, Muhammad Ashraf and Zaheer Ahmad. The accused were from Sargodha and Kushab. They confessed that Jameelâs cousin Aziz Fatima escaped from her house to marry her sweetheart. âThey said they planned to kill her at the Lahore High Court,â a police official said. |
