| UN issues deadline on Al-Qaeda | |

The United Nations Security Council has voted to name countries which are refusing to enforce UN sanctions against the Al-Qaeda network and leaders of the former Taliban regime in Afghanistan. The resolution was adopted unanimously by the council. It sets a deadline of the end of March for all member countries to submit reports on their efforts to enforce sanctions.

#1 It sets a deadline of the end of March for all member countries to submit reports on their efforts to enforce sanctions.And if they don't? Then Kofi will consult with other members about possibly deciding to set up a committee to study whether he should set up a committee to look into the possibility of setting up a committee to study what should be done to them. Or he could do nothing (which amounts to the same thing). I think I just made myself dizzy... |
