Five officers of Chechen President Akhmat Kadyrovâs security service were killed in the Chechen village of Alleroy, Tass learnt on Sunday from head of the Chechen presidentâs security service Ramzan Kadyrov. According to the security headâs information, gunmen of the chief of guards of separatist warlord Maskhadov âattacked the house of the chief of a group of our service in Alleroy Ruslan Dadayev early on Saturday morning, fired at his house with submachineguns and grenade launchers. Four of our officers were killed. Dadayev, heavily wounded, killed one and wounded four bandits. Maskhadovâs guards shot again and killed him.â Ramzan Kadyrov reported that bandits of Akhmet Avtarkhanov, chief of Maskhadovâs guards, burnt down the body of the killed gunmen so that he would not be identified and then escaped. âI announced a reward of 200,000 U.S. dollars for any information on whereabouts of Avtarkhanovâs bandits, which will help to arrest them,â Kadyrov said. Alleroy is the native village of chieftain of separatists Aslan Maskhadov, but residents of the village hate him. This is corroborated, among other things, by the results of voting of villagers on the draft of the new Chechen Constitution when more than 60 percent of villagers had voted for its adoption. |
