| Police arrested one of the two gunmen who attacked a mosque in Taifâs Shuhada neighborhood on Saturday morning and threatened the mosqueâs muezzin as he was preparing to call for Fajr prayers, Al-Jazirah reported. âThey entered the mosque while I was praying. One of them came toward me, wielding a gun, and threatened me and started abusing me,â said Hadyan Al-Duwaiby, the muezzin. The two damaged the mosqueâs roof by opening fire. âBoth were acting in a strange manner. One of them took his mobile and called the police and told them that a murder had taken place in the mosque.â Police later cordoned off the area to arrest the gunmen. |
