| #1 the story is also available at: http://money.cnn.com/2004/05/18/news/economy/greenspan/index.htm IMO Greenspan is OK but he is certainly not all knowing. He made some wrong calls during the run up to the Savings and Loan problems of the 80s and he may have acted to slowly to the excesses of the late 90s. Even if he makes all the right calls, monetary policy is just one component of the economy. |
