#2 This certainly lays the groundwork for his Swiftboat fables and do-it-yourself medals. People like Kerry were responsible for a general devaluation in the perception of medals to the point that the only ones that were respected were the AF/Navy/Distinguished Service Cross and the Medal of Honor. (Most of those were posthumous awards). |
