AMBUSH JOURNALISM...OR MY EVENING WITH CAVEMAN CHRIS MATTHEWS
By Michelle Malkin · August 20, 2004 02:34 AM
Here's a peek behind the cable TV curtain. It's not pretty.

#21  Halfass Pete---The imagery of what you would like to have happen to Matthews is beyond anything I would have thought up today...*sigh*

On another note, Michelle carried herself well. Matthews and Co hang themselves by their own rope when they interrupt, try to manipulate and verbally abuse Michelle. Every instance of this further destroys their cause. Let them speak and maybe someone will listen. Of course, look at their ratings and you can see what their on-the-air style gets them.

#20  matthews and his roundmouth sidekick need to be chewed up by a billygoat...and shit off a cliff.

#19  Here is a link to her blog. She used to allow comments until some juvenile idiot starting posting nasty racist comments in her name.

#18  a site that proclaims she's a Libertarian
I think the site is wrong. Michelle Malkin is no libertarian. Here's a definition of libertarian:
http://www.wordiq.com/definition/Libertarian

For one thing she is very pro immigration control and law enforcement, and most libertarians are open borders folks, no gov't control of borders. She wrote the book entitled "Invasion: How America Still Welcomes Terrorists, Criminals, and Other Foreign Menaces to Our Shores." Her latest book release is pretty controversial and hardly libertarian ... entitled "In defense of Internment: the case for "Racial Profiling" in WWII and the WOT".

Glenn Reynolds fits the Libertarian stereotype, not Michelle Malkin.

She is a conservative.

#16  If she could get another waiver from to appear on Miller's show on MSNBC, she should. He would probably be sympathetic to the greusome way she was treated, and she could get her point to a different audience. . . .

#15  And by the way, NBC must have driven a dump truck full of $20 bills to get Dennis Miller to sign up on that g-dawful PMSNBC. Dennis, I don't care what your contract says, run for your life and get off that sinking ship.

#14  Each to his own, eh?
I love AC, but find Michelle bitchy and abrasive, even though what she says is basically correct.

#13  #10-sent one to Hardball instead. :)

#12  Ann Coulter is so ascerbic, that she can turn folks off with her rhetoric, no matter how true what she says is. Snide remarks sometimes come of as rude.

Michelle Malkin drives her opponents batty, like her "buddy" the "caveman" Matthews, because, there is a "Don't confuse me with the facts" situation when she debates. This is why Matthews tried to shut her down. And she gave it back as good as to took it.

The lady must have a little street-fighter in her.

#11  I think Malkin beats Coulter hands down. It's not even a contest, really. And I'm not even talking about her looks.
Posted by: Chris W.   2004-08-20 3:54:00 PM

#10  Well I think we all should send the lady an EMail telling her to keep up the good fight, congratulating her on her self control.

Any one of us would have gotten up walked over and smacked Matthews in the nose!

I have.

#9  Chris Matthews' treatment of guest Michelle Malkin last night on Hardball was appalling.

The world won't have an opportunity to learn whether what Ms. Malkin said was factual. Chris was so threatened by her ideas that we got a Matthews' fatwa to remove the guest so that her explanation could not be heard.

#8  Matthews proves once again that no one demolishes a strawman like he can. Something for which his colleage, Keith Olberman, has never been prouder, according to his own blog entry.

(Olberman's contribution to the culture has consisted of observing that a batted ball is deep and not likely to be playable.)

#7  Lol! I always read your posts because you come at issues from a slightly different direction than I do - I get instant stereoscopic depth - very cool! And Unix is cool, too! All things have their place and purpose - or the cruel and unsentimental market forces kill them off!

I found a nice shot of the righteous Ms Malkin here, an interview here with her background, and a site that proclaims she's a Libertarian here.

#6  My only hope is that Matthews invites Dean on again and they both have brain aneuryisms while going off on some hate tangent berating some conservative.
Posted by: Bill Nelson   2004-08-20 2:19:16 PM

#5  I'd hit it.

And I'd hit Keith Olbermann with a right cross and a five iron - what a smug, condescending, arrogant egocentrick prick. His career's been downhill ever since he left SportsCenter (where he also was a smug, condescending, arrogant egocentrick prick). Congratulations, asshole. Allow me to further contribute to your nonexistent ratings, dickwad.

#4  .com, we pretty well agree on most things, except one area, cough*Unix*cough but I won't do a sermon on that subject. ;o)

Michelle Malkin is indeed a rising star: intelligent, passionate and easy on the eyes, as you say.
Posted by: badanov   2004-08-20 2:09:04 PM

#3  I assume you're ribbing me about the "easy on the eyes" part, heh. Funny thing is I read her stuff on Townhall and elsewhere quite a while before she launched her own site or appeared on Fox. And thought she rocked. Her appearance is a plus that guarantees she'll get exposure in all mediums - which is a good thing: she's an anti-idiotarian par excellence!

#2   she's tougher than nails, smarter than all the apologist screechers and their handlers put together, and very easy on the eyes

Always straight to the heart of the matter with you, .com, isn't it?

#1  Me luv Michelle - she's tougher than nails, smarter than all the apologist screechers and their handlers put together, and very easy on the eyes. She's gonna be around for a long long time (I hope) and beware, cheesedicks, she's hot!
