| #5 China will welcome Mr Chirac's overtures, reinforcing the Chinese perception of France as an 'accommodating and generous' country lol - in other words, the frogs don't mind bending over and grabbing their ankles. |

| #1 For some reason I don't think it's going to happen. France is too tired and weak for its imperial ambitions, and China too disdainful of whatever petty schemes Chirac can devise to try an undermine the US. |
