| These days, the violence in Iraq's third-largest city is more like The Sopranos than Black Hawk Down. About 40 dead bodies turned up across Mosul last week. Most of them had been bound and shot in the head in hit-man fashion, then left in public for local residents to see. Nearly a dozen of the dead were identified as members of Iraq's fragile security forces. Some of the others were contract workers for the U.S.-led coalition. Many are still unidentified. The message from insurgents to the public was simple: We're here, and we're watching. |

| #4 How about letting election registrars set up just beyond the cordon, and fingerprint, indelibly ink stain a finger, and register all who are interested after they pass through the lines? That would take care of complaints that Sunnis are being denied the opportunity to vote by the current government or the Coalition, and set up a data base for future use all at the same time (if desirable, DNA samples could be taken as well, "against future need"). |

| #3 Better yet, like Fallujah, cordon off the city let the elderly men, women and kiddies out, but this time every male who don't surrender within 48 hours left in the interior will be killed on site (No questions, No prisoners)! This 'King Herod' approach would spread fear and havoc among the remaining cities to the point of surrender! |
