A suspected Islamic militant has been killed and 11 policemen injured in a shootout in south-west Pakistan, police have said. The police believe the man killed in the shootout in Quetta, capital of Balochistan province, is a Chechen. The exchange of fire happened when police launched a raid on a house where militants had taken shelter. The police said the shootout happened when the militants hurled grenades and opened fire on the policemen. The shootout erupted after the suspects hurled hand grenades and opened fire when police launched a pre-dawn raid on a house in Kali Payend Khan injuring 11 policemen including SSP and DSP. Police captured grenades, explosives and other ammunition from the house. Four foreign nationals had tried to loot a moneychanger shop in Quetta on Monday and escaped after the bid. An employee of the shop followed the dacoits and a Chechen dacoit Abdul Ghaffar was captured.
