I'm bitter. My email only threatens me with lower mortgage rates... | The US Embassy in Tunis said on Friday that an American company received an unsigned e-mail message earlier this month threatening terrorist attacks against US interests in Pakistan, Turkey and 10 North African and Middle Eastern countries. The unidentified company received the message on December 2, and it threatened attacks in Algeria, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Pakistan and Tunisia, the embassy said. Turkey also was mentioned, an official told The Associated Press. Authorities were working to verify the threat, the embassy said. It said the letter suggested an attack on a US target in Tunisia could take place "in the weeks to come," the official said. |
