SSP man held in New York
2005-05-06
A leader from the defunct Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP) group was arrested in New York on Wednesday, the New York Post newspaper reported on Thursday. Tariq Javed, a member of Sipah-e-Sahaba which is aligned with Al Qaeda and International Islamic Front, was seen snapping photos last year of the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges in New York city and was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly lying on his immigration papers about his terror links, the paper quoted officials as saying. He had declared jihad against Americans, according to the complaint issued by Manhattan US Attorney David Kelly.

#1  Good. Although simply lying on his immigration papers should be enough to get him deported... the way the FBI convicts gangsters and Mafioso of tax evasion for not declaring to the IRS the income on their ill-gotten gains.
