Zarqawi could be dying
2005-05-25
An Egyptian militant living in London said he believes a statement purportedly from al-Qaeda saying that Iraq's top terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was injured is credible, according to reports on Wednesday in two London-based Pan-Arab dailies. Hani Sebai, director of the Maqreze Islamic Centre in London, told al-Hayat newspaper that he believed the statement posted Tuesday on a website sympathetic to al-Qaeda to be "true and it resembles an obituary". He added that it could mean that "Zarqawi was martyred or is in the throes of death." Sebai made similar remarks to Asharq al-Awsat, which also reported that Islamist websites are busy with people posting messages wishing the Jordanian who leads al-Qaeda operations in Iraq a swift recovery.

#2  Let the speculation games begin. Old photographs and scratchy audio tapes periodically issued, etc etc. The Z man is supposed to be over in the US attacking us. Too much on his plate. If they find him dead or alive, he needs the lampost treatment. No cozy jail cell, no fresh undies, no autobiography.

I love the accordian lady warm up act. But she must be getting tired. Fat lady's gonna shatter glass on this one.
