 By the end of the summer, CBS will debut a blog called "Public Eye" that will create a "candid and robust dialogue between CBS News journalists and the public," the network announced today.

| #4 "Ververs will serve as the conduit between the public and CBS News..." Conduit... that's sort of like a sewer, isn't it? A way of piping shit from one place to another? "...to take viewers and users inside the news gathering, production and decision-making process..." I have about as much interest in that-- and about as much stomach for it-- as I would in becoming a proctologist. Probing CBS's news "process", probing some dude's diseased rectum... what's the difference? "...via the use of... input from independent experts, among other methods." Like the experts who vouched for those Bush National Guard memos? No thanks. |
