| Pakistan sez they helped to thwart May UK attacks |

| Pakistan has said it helped Britain thwart a militant attack before May's general election in the UK. Interior Minister Aftab Khan Sherpao said Islamabad provided information that had led to "some arrests". He also pledged Pakistan would provide any more useful information it had. The Home Office refused to comment. At least 52 people died in suspected suicide attacks in London on 7 July. Police believe at least three attackers were Britons of Pakistani descent. British Muslim leaders have reacted with shock to the news that the bombers may have been British-born young people from their community. The Muslim Council of Britain's secretary general, Iqbal Sacranie, said: "Nothing in Islam can ever justify the evil actions of the bombers." |

| #3 Sounds like Pakistan is a bit too worried. They don't usually proclaim how they are helping the infidel in the war on Islamofascists. The US+UK should press the situation to extract hot pursuit concessions along the Afghan border, and a (first) crackdown on Paki madrassas. |

How about the Koran , Sura [9.5] So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. |
