One Task Force Liberty soldier was killed and two were wounded during an indirect fire attack on a Coalition Forces base near Balad, northern Baghdad, at about 3:30 pm yesterday, the Multi National Forces in Iraq stated. One wounded soldier was taken to a Coalition Forces medical treatment facility while the other was treated and returned to duty, the statement said. The name of the deceased soldier is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
