Tehran Wants Open Talks With Europe |

#3 âAll those who worked against Khatamiâs reformist agenda have now been nominated to sit in the government,â reformist writer Ali Reza Rajaei said. âMost of them are either former military commanders or people in close touch with security agencies.â Sounds like an efficient way to run a country; 'bout the same as appointing religious "scholars". So what's to talk about? Kiddies, read up on your Bastille Day history. That's our only hope. |

#2 An increasingly defiant Iran called yesterday for Europe to open talks on Tehranâs desire to enrich uranium, .... They're gonna do it. They said so, again and again. So what's to talk about? The new Iranian president, meanwhile, named a government replete with hard-liners, a move that looked certain to further deepen Iranâs confrontation with the West. For our "feels-so-good-when-you-stop" negotiations, we always go to North Korea. That's all the fun we need. |

#1 Tehran: "We want full disclosure of your intentions and 1000% accountability from all parties involved in your part of the negotiations." Europeans: "Granted. And you will do the same?" Tehran: "Don't be stupid." |
