| Breaking news EXPLOSIONS in a popular tourist area of Bali have injured at least three Western tourists and damaged buildings. The blasts occurred along Jimbaran beach and in Kuta Square. The area has been cordoned off and staff from nearby businesses told to leave the area, witnesses say. A restaurant and neighbouring shop were damaged in one blast. There is no confirmation of what caused the explosions, nor how many people were injured. At least three Western tourists were injured in the blasts, El Shinta radio reported. |

| #9 I'm sure whicever cell members claim responsibility for this attack we will see the same circus show that the Indonesians displayed during the previous terror trials. Indonesia is a joke, i don't know why we continue to visit such uncivilized places. I work too hard to blow my money on going to some monkey country. |

Indonesia isn't Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, etc. They are a fledgling democracy with BIG problems re:Islamofacism. The Bali bombings ruin the economy--that's not lost on the Indonesians. They have a tough balancing act, in that the population is "Moslem" albeit Hinduized, and they don't want to start a civil war. But nobody likes the terrorists, except the minority fanatics. |

I doubt that many Indonesians care, really, about the people in Bali... they probably look at them as either pagans, apostates, or both. |

| #3 I wonder how this will affect Australian opinion if any of their citizens were killed or hurt? I say it will harden their resolve to stick it out in Iraq and become a much bigger player in counter-terrorism in the SE Asis sphere of Islamic influence (probably a pre-emptive leader). |
