Two Yemeni Bad Boyz nabbed in Baghdad |
2005-11-04 |
US forces announced the capture of two men in southern Baghdad believed to be Yemeni operatives of Osama bin Ladenâs al-Qaeda network. The men are âsuspected members of a Yemeni branch of al-Qaeda who were on a reconnaissance assignment in Baghdad,â the military said. âBoth were in possession of Yemeni passports.â The men âadmitted to being from Yemen,â said Captain Matthew Wheeler, a US intelligence officer. âThere is a lot of circumstantial evidence against the detainees, and that will solidify as we examine the evidence more closely.â US officials said US and Iraqi soldiers had also captured 12 suspects as well as 65 AK-47 rifles, three light machine guns and ammunition in a separate raid on Monday night. |

#1 âThere is a lot of circumstantial evidence against the detainees, and that will solidify as we examine the evidence more closely.â "Circumstantial evidence," yea, they are both Arab, under 35, holding freshly minted passports, no employment links and no host-nation contacts, visiting a known ME vacation hot spot, without luggage. Definately not Fuller Brush men. |
