Zarqawi claims Amman bombings: Full Text
2005-11-10
Replaced previous post with full text:
The text of a claim of responsibility posted on the Internet Thursday for hotel bombings in Amman, Jordan, as translated from Arabic by the Associated Press. The claim could not be authenticated, but it appeared on an Islamic Web site that acts as a clearing house for statements by militant groups. The statement was signed in the name of the spokesman for al-Qaida in Iraq, a group led by the Jordanian-born Abu Musab al-Zarqawi:

"In the blessed days when the lions of al-Tawhid are struggling with the crusade tyranny and the Shiite perfidy on the land of the two rivers and making the greatest epics,

"A group of lions ... have launched a new attack against some dens that were planted in the Muslim land in Amman. After studying and watching the targets, some places were chosen and they were made by the tyrant of Jordan as a backyard garden for the enemies of the religion - Jews and crusaders - and a filthy place for the traitors of this nation and a safe haven for the infidels' Mukhabarat that run conspiracies against the Muslims and a center for prostitution.

"Despite the security measures provided by the traitor to protect those dens, the al-Qaida soldiers were able to reach their targets and carry out the duties, according to the information we have. Details of the attack and people who fulfilled them will be announced later on. Let the tyrant of Jordan know that the protecting walls for the Jews built in Jordan and the backyard camp for the crusaders' army is now in the range of fire of the mujahedeen."

You gotta love Zs sense of theater. Some of it sounds like the Spanish guy outside the castle in the Monte Python movie. He was telling the folks in the castle what he was going to do them--very humorous. Islamic-facist rhetoric and hyperbole keeps you laughing--it always seems kind of disconnected from reality. Listening to it is a little like stepping through the looking glass in Alice. Screw you Zark--put a sock or grenade in it.

As with all all "mystical" leaders, Zarko must start with an opening statement containing a bunch of large words, riddles, and obscure references. People will think you are smart.

"A group of lions ... have launched a new attack against some dens that were planted in the Muslim land in Amman. After studying and watching the targets, some places were chosen, and they were made by the tyrant of Jordan as a backyard garden for the enemies of the religion, Jews and crusaders. And a filthy place for the traitors of this nation and a safe haven for the infidels' Mukhabarat that run conspiracies against the Muslims and a center for prostitution.

Then one must define ones enemy with a shit-pot full of ad homonyms, and boost the dupes, er.... "heroes" who made themselves into a bunch of DNA goo, proclaim them in legendary terms.

Finally, proclaim the act a success, which it was in this case, and ignore the consequences, because you know you have pissed the wrong people off. Also, continue to talk in riddles, and obscure references, convincing the unwashed and brain-addled that you are right right up there with "The Prophet" hisself!.

#6  I bet before the end of the day we will here the mainstream media harping the "see Iraq has become a base of terrrorist operations now" crap. When in reality AQ killing a Muslim wedding party and few if any Westerners should go along way to turning the fence sitters against Zark and AQ. The whole idea is to make the fight over there and not over here.

#5  One of the dead Palestinians was the head of Intelligence for the Palestinian Authority. Talk about Red-on-Red fratricide.

#4  Latest reports indicate at least one Israeli (an arab) was killed and at least 5 residents of the west bank (all arab) were killed. Two of the latter were employees of the Palestinian Authority.

#2  A lot of chatter by moonbats this morning is blaming the Jordan hotel bombings on the Mossad.

#1  I'm on my own little personal crusade here, but Sparky Zarky didn't claim the amman bombings, a group led by him did. I haven't seen quote marks specifically attributed to Sparky for a long time....since about the time he was reported to be killed.
