#4  There's been a change in tone by the Bush administration, a perception of the importance of Europe to the U.S.," said Michael Calingaert, an expert on Europe with the Washington-based Brookings Institution.

"It's unfortunate that at the moment they woke up to those realities, Europe is increasingly weak and fractured," he said. "It makes that dialogue more difficult."

That may be the Europeeonya view, but here in America we see it that Europe is increasingly weak and fractured and fear that it will soon be more Islamist than Democratic. That may be a big problem for us..but not nearly as big as it will be for the Europeans.

#2  Non! Non! My Capitain, like Napoleon, has shown brilliant French leadership worthy of the Ages. It is that racaile Sarkozy, whose family is from that sheety leetle country, who has been embarrassed. Would you like me to read for you my latest poem "Ode to a Brown Tongue"?

#1  "When everybody is weaker, you all come out even," he said.

Is that not the essence of the Loser mentality?

"The whole Western world lacks leadership at the moment," said Guillaume Parmentier, director of the French Center on the United States. "I cannot see any leader who can seize the mantle of the EU and move it in this or that direction."

Yes, please send us us a benevoilent dictator, he prayed..
