No Peace in Sight
2005-11-18
November 18, 2005: Peace in Somalia is stalled because the warlords cannot agree on who will have what power in the new government. Most warlords were reluctant to give up any power. Since the warlords usually base their power on clan or tribe support, any peacekeeping operation would face civil war from the various tribal militias. There may, however, be some foreign intervention along the coast, because of the increasing number of pirate attacks along the coast. Some believe that the growing power of the Islamic Courts militias might bring peace. But the Islamic Courts are not unified. They are all led by different groups of religious leaders, and don't agree with each other.

#6  Islam in it's truest form. Refined.
Who holds the caliphate is like chasing a fumbled ball that never stops. "Citizens" of these "Holy states" never know who is in charge until they are either beaten, raped, sold into slavery, or killed. Ahhh, nice to see some holy things coming out of the religion of "Peace".

I fatwah you, no... I fatwa you. Noooo, Jihad your fatwa, nooo, in the surah... but in the etc etc etc.

Why not see how bas Somalia gets instead of trying to fix it? Maybe that should be policy. Let the DEVIL take over as intended and watch the future in action.

There is NO definition in the Koran.

#5  Even the civilians in Somalia are aligned to one of the clans that are linked to the warlords. Nobody is innocent. Let them rot.

#2  The last Democratic president's strategy appears in hindsight to have been to crush the one major clan obstructing development and then run like hell. Snatching defeat from the Jaws of Victory! Still the only war* plan of the Democratic Party. * Running without fighting is not war.

#1  Cut it up, and give half to Ethiopia and half to Kenya. If the locals can't get organized, then they should lose everything.
