Taleban yesterday threatened to kill an Indian engineer they are holding hostage unless his company stops work in Afghanistan by today. The family of Maniappan Raman Kutty, the Indian driver, expressed hope that his abductors would show mercy and let him off. His wife Bindu, who appeared on local television channels, said her two sons aged eight and three did not know of their father's plight and his aged parents were totally shattered.
