#9 "You don't have the bandwidth." ROFL, Dragonfly! :-D As for the kid, I envy him. I pulled somewhat similar stunts when I was young. (Though, as a woman, I was smarter than to ever try it in anything but a Western - or at least communist - country.) I treasure - and miss - those days. I predict that young man will go far. Provided he survives. ;-p |

#3 A real reporter - my pills! This kid, dumb as this stunt was, should be taken in by someone - like Michael Yon. He's got the right principles - or so it seems - just not enough sense. That the US military expended effort on him is a large debt, IMHO. Wotta weird kid. From such oddballs come the likes of Mark Twain - this moronic stunt reminds me of Twain's equally brief Civil War stunt. He needs tutelage from someone who can keep him from getting his throat cut. I thought I'd heard it all. There are easier ways to get laid, there, Hassan. |

#2 Yeah, it was dumb. Really dumb. But something in me really admires this kid. He's got something - beyond dumb, and beyond idealistic and naive. A willingness to DO, rather than sit around and be done to. I hope somebody significant picks up on this and cultivates it and directs it appropriately. Maybe the USMC? |
