| #1 On other threads today, there are discussions about how the Germans are reacting to their economic woes by striking in response to suggestions that they perform 90 more minutes of work per week. If this attitude can be writ large across Euroland, I think it's legitimate to ask. . . . . . . how can a nation that will stubbornly and selfishly disrupt its own troubled economy even further as an expression of recoiling in horror from the notion of working incrementally harder ever be expected to muster the national will to defend itself from the Islamicist horde? Please Europe - surprise me and (re)discover your Western roots. |
