| Insurgents kill Iraq media staff |

| Insurgents killed Wednesday an Iraq Sports broadcaster of the Iraqi satellite network in western Baghdad, a security source said. The source added that the victim was parking near a store in Al-Shorta neighborhood west of Baghdad when the insurgents attacked him with a hail of gunfire. Meanwhile, hand-grenades were thrown at a security checkpoint in Kirkuk city and caused the injury of five Iraqi civilians. |
