ISLAMABAD - Pakistan on Wednesday announced financial assistance worth three million dollars for the Palestinians and reiterated full support for the Palestinian cause of achieving an independent homeland.
A whole three million? Why that will cover about ... one day's salaries vigorish. Wotta guy. | The announcement came as the visiting Palestinian Foreign Minister Dr. Mahmoud Al Zahar met his Pakistani counterpart Khurshid Mehmud Kasuri in Islamabad. Pakistan is the third country after Iran and Russia to have announced financial assistance for the Palestinians.
They're up to about six days worth of help, assuming the banks will transfer the money, which they won't. | Al Zarar arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday on a two-day visit following the formation of the Hamas government in the Palestinian territories. An official statement issued after the meeting quoted Kasuri as expressing Pakistan’s complete solidarity with the Palestinians in their quest for “statehood.”
"As long as it doesn't cost us anything. We have our own problems, y'know." |
