Valerii VoblikovÂ’s twin brother participated in the trial as his civil defense lawyer. Thus, he was allowed to stay in his brotherÂ’s cell without supervision.
When the brothers were alone they swapped clothes and Voblicov took his brotherÂ’s documents which allowed him to walk out of jail. He made his getaway in a car waiting for him near the prison entrance. | "So long, Val. You will be coming back for me.......Val? Hello?" |
This has not been the first escape for Vblikov, a former police officer. In 2005 he escaped from jail in YaroslavlÂ’, where police refused to give details on his getaway.
