Tales from the Crossfire Gazette (Sunday edition)
2006-06-25
Three operation commanders of the outlawed Biplabi Communist Party (BCP) of Khulna, Jessore and Narail were killed in separate 'crossfire' incidents between their accomplices and Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) yesterday.
Three commies and no islamicists.
A Rab press release yesterday said Operations Commander of Khulna BCP Mohammad Matiar Rahman, 33, was arrested around 11:00pm on Friday.
You'd think he'd have a lot to talk about, but ...
Following his confessional statement, ...
... he seems to have blabbed everything rather quickly; musta been the #7 pliers ...
... a Rab team went to Hogladanga in Manirampur upazila of Jessore ...
No, we don't know where that is.
... around 3:10am yesterday ...
Right on schedule with a ten minute bonus.
... to recover hidden arms ...
Always hidden, never used ...
... when Matiar's accomplices ambushed the team.
They had no idea what they were getting into, of course ...
Rab retaliated and Matiar tried to flee during the shootout.
Which was hard to do since he was already dead in the back of the truck.
He was caught in crossfire and died on the spot, Rab claimed.
Not convincingly, either, but who's going to challenge them?
One pipegun, two shotgun shells and three used bullet shells were recovered from the spot ...
The three used bullets from those shells can be found in the back of Matiar's head ...
... but Matiar's cohorts managed to escape.
They bravely ran away but we'll see them again someday.
Rab said Matiar had several criminal cases filed against him, including murder cases, on twelve systems with different police stations of Khulna and Jessore.

But wait, there's more on Sunday! ...

Rab personnel arrested BCP Operations Commander of Jessore Abdur Razzak, 30, around 10:00pm on Friday at Abhaynagar upazila in Jessore, another Rab press release said.
Plenty of openings for operations commanders, apparently.
Following his information, ...
"Anything! I'll say anything you want! Just put those down!"
... a Rab team went to Durgapur in the same upazila to recover hidden arms and arrest his cohorts.
You may be thinking right now, 'hey, this reads just like the last one!'
His gang members opened fire on the team as they reached the area around 3:00am yesterday ...
... that magic moment ...
... and Razzak was found dead following the Rab's encounter. He was caught in the line of fire, Rab claimed.
Two rounds in the back of the head from twelve inches, the line of fire being towards his feet.
One pipegun, two shotgun shells and two used bullet shells were recovered from the spot ...
Those two bullets having penetrated Razzak's noggin ...
... while none of the miscreants were caught.
Since they melted away into the night.
Razzak was wanted for several murders and other criminal activities in cases filed with different police stations in Khulna and Jessore.
Twelve systems, he's dead, and hurry up with the autopsy Dr. Quincy.

Triple-play RAB Sunday!

Meanwhile, another BCP Operations Commander of Narail, Junaid Hossain, 30, was killed in an 'encounter' between the members of his party and Rab around 3:30am. He was arrested at Narail town on Friday.
Three operations commanders in one night? What are the odds of that?
During interrogations, Junaid told Rab about his hidden arms cache.
His personal hidden arms cache, apparently.
A Rab team along with Junaid went to Mirzapur area of Sadar upazila in Narail ...
Which is somewhere in Bangladesh, but that's not important.
... where Junaid's gang men shot at the Rab team forcing them to retaliate.
Of couse they did.
During the gunfight, Junaid tried to escape but he was hit by bullets and died on the spot.
Hit by just one in the back of the head since they only find one used shell.
Two pipeguns, four shotgun shells and one used bullet shell were recovered from the spot. Rab however failed to capture any outlaws.
You'd wonder about their seeming inability to run down the accomplices in any other jurisdiction ...
We would, if we believed there was anyone present except the RAB and the dead guy
Junaid had several criminal cases including murder cases filed against him with different police stations of Jessore and Narail.
Three more commies, all in a night's work for the RAB.

#1  It all makes sense, ya'see because the number of used shells equals 6. No reason to ask if they felt lucky and were 5 or 6 bullets fired. Punk.
(apologies to Clint).
