PARIS - Saudi Arabia has ordered 76 artillery howitzers from the French armaments manufacturer Giat Industries, sources close to the purchase told AFP on Friday. Giat Industries announced a sale of its 155 millimetre Caesar artillery systems but did not give the name of the client nor the amount of money to change hands.The order came as Saudi ArabiaÂ’s defence minister Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz was in France on a two-day visit. He saw President Jacques Chirac on Thursday and was to hold talks with his counterpart Michele Alliot-Marie later Friday.
