| ISRAELI aircraft targeted a warehouse in Gaza today that the army said was being used by militants to store and make weapons. A warning was given to a man living above the store before the air strike, Palestinian security sources. Israeli military sources confirmed that a telephone call was made to the house before the air strike to try to avoid civilian casualties. The warehouse was being used by the Islamic Jihad militant group, the Israeli army said. Palestinian sources confirmed that the group had been using the storage site. In its more than three-week operation against militants in Gaza the Israeli military has killed around 115 Palestinians, the majority of them civilians. The operation is designed to stop militants firing homemade rockets into Israel, and part of a wider push to secure the release of an Israeli soldier seized by members of Hamas and other militant groups on June 25. |

| #5 "the majority of them civilians" How can they tell? Hezbollah deliberately wear civilian clothes. So that reporter is making a bullshit editorial comment and presenting it as new - that paper and reporter should be called to task - PROVE they were civilians. You're making the claim PROVE it. |

| #3 I can think of no time in history when a military force was polite enough to telephone ahead before they paid a visit. It is obvious the Israelis are bending over backwards and even placing their own operations at some additional risk in order to minimize civilian casualties. |
