Powerful explosives found in Chechnya |

(Interfax) - Powerful hand-made explosives have been found in the Zavodskoi district of Chechnya, a source in Chechen law enforcement agencies told Interfax on Saturday morning. "Hand-made explosives prepared for planting were found in an investigative operation in premises in Almaznaya street of the Aldy village. Explosives were made of six metal pipes filled with TNT, with total weight of 200 kilograms," the source said. "Thus, possible terrorist attacks were prevented," the source said, adding that six shells of the gauge of 120 millimeters, a short rifle, a hand-made Borz rifle, as well as eleven rounds for rifle-attached grenade launcher, a large quantity of various grenades, ammunition, detonators and a sleeping bag, were found in the same premises as well. |
