Violence kills six civilians, policeman, four gunmen in Iraq |

(KUNA) -- At least six Iraqi civilians, an Iraqi police officer and four gunmen were killed Tuesday and several others were wounded in separate violent incidents in various parts of Iraq. Iraqi security source told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that a booby-trapped car exploded in Al-Mansour area in the Iraqi capital killing two civilians. Another 15 civilians were wounded and several stores were destroyed as result of the explosion, he added. In Mosul, gunmen opened fire and killed Iraqi police Captain Ziad Ramzi, an Iraqi police source told KUNA. The source added that anonymous gunmen opened fire on a number of civilians in Al-Zahraa district to kill four Iraqi civilians and wound another. Meanwhile, four gunmen were killed today in clashes between the Iraqi army and an armed group South-West of Kirkuk City, a source from Iraqi army told KUNA. |
